The rechargeable battery pack has electrical contacts to contact second electrical contacts of the reserve power module for providing electrical power to the reserve power module and to the game controller, through the reserve power module. The reserve power module can uninterruptedly power the game controller when the depleted rechargeable battery pack is removed from the retention cage to be replaced by a charged rechargeable battery pack.
