Abstract: Methods and systems for content management are described. If programming content is distributed to viewers, signals such as markers are transmitted with the programming content. If a user device receives the marker, the use device may make a request to a rights management device. The rights management device may receive the request and determine an identifier associated with the request and an identifier associated with the marker. The rights management server may determine if the user device is authorized for supplemental features associated with the programming content.

The identifying and/or the utilizing may be based on metadata associated with the media/video streams and/or viewers/audiences associated with different distributors/operators. The metadata, which may be collected from a content provider or a third-party suppliers, may be provided, via out-of-band signaling, to the different distributors/operators. The different distributors/operators may use information in the metadata to use identified addressable advertisement slots (e.g., by inserting different advertisements specifically targeted to those viewers/audiences associated with a particular distributor) and potentially generate a higher cost per thousand impressions (CPMs).

Abstract: A document viewer control that is hosted by another computer program to provide that program with document viewing functionality, including enabling user interaction with the content. An interface provides the program with plug-in access to document viewing functionality, including scrolling, zooming, finding, layout, copying and the like. Properties may be retrieved and set via the interface, and commands may be issued. The result is that any program can provide document viewing functionality in a consistent manner. Provided is a music client on a cell phone or other mobile communications device that facilitates the discovery, storage, and play of multimedia content or portions thereof such as music. A user can listen to music transmitted to the mobile terminal device (e.g., cell phone) via broadcast, satellite radio, streaming internet radio, etc., review the music, and buy tracks or whole albums over-the-air via the mobile terminal.

Abstract: A system and process for voice-controlled information retrieval. A conversation template is executed. The conversation template includes a script of tagged instructions including voice prompts and information content. A voice command identifying information content to be retrieved is processed. A remote method invocation is sent requesting the identified information content to an applet process associated with a Web browser. The information content is retrieved on the Web browser responsive to the remote method invocation.
