    Abstract: A compressor for file drawers includes a central housing or body supporting a pair of extensible and retractable bumpers. Suspension hooks are joined to the central housing permitting the central housing to be suspended from different width drawers An actuating handle or lever is mounted in the housing for vertical movement. The actuating lever is connected to the bumpers to move them from an extended position to a retracted position. A spring biases the bumpers to their extended position.
