Patent number: 10223706Abstract: A system for monitoring at least one of tagged asset on at least one physical asset using a processor and data storage connected to a network, with at least one connected client device. The system displays at least one tagged asset from at least one independent survey set up on a layered coordinate system view with icons. The at least one independent survey set up can have at least one data capture device, such as a laser scanner, a camera, or both, a processor with data storage, and a receiver/transmitter enabling a user to link icons to a 360 degree panoramic view, which enables a user to view a visual representation of at least one tagged asset and connect to a library of tagged assets.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2016Date of Patent: March 5, 2019Inventors: David Patrick Cahill, Gregory Hammond

Patent number: 9793663Abstract: A connector configured to operate in two different electrical performance modes. The connector may include a plurality of connector contacts, a plurality of contact pads, and an insulator having an insulating portion adjacent the plurality of contact pads. The insulator is movable between an insulating position and a non-insulating position. When the insulator is in the insulating position, the insulating portion insulates the plurality of contact pads from the plurality of connector contacts and the connector operates in a first one of the electrical performance modes. When the insulator is in the non-insulating position, the plurality of connector contacts contact the plurality of contact pads and the connector operates in a different second one of the electrical performance modes. The connector may be implemented as a plug or an outlet.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 2016Date of Patent: October 17, 2017Assignee: LEVITON MANUFACTURING CO., INC.Inventors: Jeffrey Alan Poulsen, Gregory Hammond, Jon Clark Riley, Franklin Conrad Marti

Patent number: 9262048Abstract: A system for monitoring and displaying a plurality of telecommunication assets on at least one telecommunication structure by creating a customer profile and a library of survey set ups and storing information from independent survey set ups mounted on or proximate to the offshore asset on the administrative data storage. The system includes creating a library of tagged assets for the offshore asset using at least one independent survey set up, wherein each tagged asset has an icon with a hyperlink to a library of images. The system includes identifying placement locations on offshore assets and forming an executive dashboard for display on at least one client device, wherein a virtually positioned icon positioned on an image of the tagged assets presents a hyperlink to the library of survey set ups for that tagged asset, thereby enabling toggling from the image to the library of survey set ups.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2015Date of Patent: February 16, 2016Assignee: UTEC SURVEY, INC.Inventors: Douglas John Brown, Gregory Hammond, David Patrick Cahill

Patent number: 4116733Abstract: In the vapor phase epitaxy fabrication of semiconductor devices and in particular semiconductor lasers, the deposition body on which a particular layer of the laser is to be grown is preheated to a temperature about 40.degree. to 60.degree. C. lower than the temperature at which deposition occurs. It has been discovered that by preheating at this lower temperature there is reduced thermal decomposition at the deposition surface, especially for semiconductor materials such as indium gallium phosphide and gallium arsenide phosphide. A reduction in thermal decomposition reduces imperfections in the deposition body in the vicinity of the deposition surface, thereby providing a device with higher efficiency and longer lifetime.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 1977Date of Patent: September 26, 1978Assignee: RCA CorporationInventors: Gregory Hammond Olsen, Thomas Joseph Zamerowski, Charles Joseph Buiocchi

Patent number: 4053350Abstract: A thin coating of carbon is used as a mask to define regions of a crystalline material of the group III-V compounds. A carbon mask is coated on portions of a surface of a substrate and the masked substrate contacted with the group III-V material to deposit the crystalline material only on the portions of the surface of the substrate not covered with the masking coating. The group III-V material will not be deposited on the carbon coating, since it is incapable of nucleating the growth of the crystalline material. Accordingly, a defined region of the crystalline material is formed. The carbon masking coating can also be used as a mask for etching cavities or recesses in a substrate of the group III-V material.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 1975Date of Patent: October 11, 1977Assignee: RCA CorporationInventors: Gregory Hammond Olsen, Vladimir Sinisa Ban

Patent number: 4019082Abstract: A substrate of single crystalline gallium arsenide has on a surface thereof a layer of single crystalline indium gallium phosphide. A layer of single crystalline gallium arsenide is on the indium gallium phosphide layer and a work function reducing material is on the gallium arsenide layer. The substrate has an opening therethrough exposing a portion of the indium gallium phosphide layer.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 1975Date of Patent: April 19, 1977Assignee: RCA CorporationInventors: Gregory Hammond Olsen, Ramon Ubaldo Martinelli, Michael Ettenberg
