  • Publication number: 20240081708
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a self-learning bladder volume monitoring system. The system can include a bladder volume (BV) system configured to measure an electrical impedance of a bladder region of a patient and determine a volume of fluid disposed therein using an impedance to bladder volume model (“By model”). Further, the system can measure a total body water (“TBW”) for the patient and modify the BV model to account for variations in TBW within the tissues surrounding the bladder providing a more accurate bladder volume measurement. The system can include a “training unit” which can include one of a user input interface, an automatic urine output monitoring system, an ultrasound system, and an intrabladder pressure system configured to verify a volume of fluid within or voided from the bladder and train the BV model.

  • Patent number: 9309061
Abstract: An apparatus and method to efficiently and accurately count, group and discharge individual products from a production line. The apparatus and methods are suitable for a variety of products, including products with irregular shapes, and/or products that travel down production lines at irregular intervals. In one embodiment the apparatus can have a delivery conveyor having a product sensor; a grouping conveyor adjacent to the delivery conveyor having a plurality of containment areas to receive a plurality of products; and a controller communicatively connected to the delivery conveyor, the grouping conveyor, and the product sensor, the controller configured to count product traveling on the delivery conveyor during a grouping sequence and to discharge a product group from the grouping conveyor during a discharge sequence at a predetermined product count. The grouping conveyor can be at substantially right angles to the delivery conveyor.

  • Publication number: 20110089832
Abstract: A sealing structure that hermetically seals an open end of an outer envelope to a lamp base of a compact fluorescent bulb to prevent release of mercury to the environment. The sealing structure may be a tightened band, snapped together structures or an adhesive. The outer envelope is resistant to tearing from shards of glass in the event of breakage of the bulb and resistant to heat given off by the bulb during illumination so as to maintain and integrity of the outer envelope throughout exposure to the heat. The sealing structure and outer envelope may be packaged together as a kit.

  • Patent number: 6742982
Abstract: A golf ball stacking and dispensing apparatus comprising a hopper having two pyramidal shells each of different dimensions. Each of the shells is truncated and has a respective open substantially rectangular rim defining a respective open base of a different dimension than that of the other. The shells are joined together where each is truncated so as to converge together and define a funnel opening between the shells. Each of the shells is configured to form a self-supporting stack of golf balls atop each other as a stacking tray closes the open base of one of the shells and the golf balls are poured through the other of the shells. A method of forming different size pyramidal stacks of golf balls by pouring golf balls through one pyramidal shell of a hopper to fill the other pyramidal shell thereof.

  • Patent number: 6648138
Abstract: A tray for stacking and dispensing golf balls, comprising (a) a base frame having a substantially rectangular central region bounded by a peripheral region, (b) a plurality of rails in the central region, and (c) a plurality of resting surfaces also in the central region. The peripheral region including two pairs of opposing and elongated sides forming a substantially rectangular boundary of the central region and that are perpendicular to each other. The rails and resting surfaces are arranged relative to each other such that neighboring rails are separated from each other by a resting surface and neighboring resting surfaces are separated from each other by a rail. Each of the rails has a convex curvature as viewed from the top side of the tray. In addition, each of the rails has an associated apex, the apexes of the plurality of the rails being in a common tangential plane with each other.
