  • Publication number: 20020134371
Abstract: An mounted hood assembly for use with a conveyorized type oven located within an interior enclosure. The oven includes one or more conveyor belts extending between inlet and outlet sides, the oven further including an open space defined within side walls associated with the inlet and outlet sides and which is contiguous with the upper side of the conveyor, the open space further extending from the inlet to the outlet sides of the oven. One or more hood assemblies are constructed of elongated and three-dimensional shaped bodies and which are each mountable to an oven side wall associated with at least one of the inlet and outlet sides. A generally downwardly and elongate extending inlet is arranged along each of the elongated bodies and arrays in an overhanging fashion above the associated inlet and/or outlet side location of the conveyor belt. The bodies each further include a baffle filter mounted in likewise elongate extending fashion within the body and proximate the inlet.

  • Patent number: 6344074
Abstract: A ventless air scrubber assembly for use with a conventional cooking appliance situated within an interior location. A ventilation hood is arrayed in an overhanging manner above the cooking appliance and includes a recessed interior defined by a planar base surface and a plurality of interconnecting sides. The hood further includes an intake and an exhaust and a plurality of individual grease extraction units located within the hood in proximity to the exhaust. A filtration housing having an inlet and an outlet is located a specified distance from the hood and is interconnected to the hood exhaust by a first length of ductwork extending filtration housing inlet. A plurality of individual filters are arrayed between the inlet and an outlet in successive fashion. The filters include particulate entrapment filters and an odor removal filter. A second length of ductwork extends between the filtration housing outlet and an inlet of an exhaust fan.

  • Patent number: 6341601
Abstract: A shield for use with a conveyor oven for redirecting a thermal exhaust flow. The conveyor oven has a first exterior surface defining an inlet aperture and a second exterior surface defining an outlet aperture. A first shield secures against the first exterior surface of the oven and at a location proximate and above the inlet aperture. A second shield secures against the second exterior surface of the oven and at a location proximate and above the outlet aperture. Each of the first and second shields further includes a body with a forwardly projecting and elongated front surface, first and second side surfaces, and a top surface angling in a generally upward direction between the side surfaces and from the front surface toward the associated exterior oven surface. The body further defines an interiorly hollowed and downwardly facing interior proximate the associated oven aperture.

  • Patent number: 6041774
Abstract: An overhead ventilation hood for a ventilation system of a conventional cooking appliance. The hood includes a housing with a planar base surface and a recessed interior arrayed in a downwardly facing manner which is defined by a first side, a second spaced apart side, a first interconnecting end and a second interconnecting end. Intake and exhaust openings are formed through the housing proximite the first and second sides. The ventilation system includes a first blower mounted in communication with a first length of ductwork extending to the intake opening to provide a stream of pressurized intake air and a second blower mounted in communication with a second length of ductwork extending from the exhaust opening to provide a stream of pressurized exhaust air.
