  • Patent number: 7278816
Abstract: A double articulating hook lifting apparatus usable mounted upon a truck or trailer for loading and unloading containers with respect thereto and also being usable for dumping the containers. The locking mechanism operates to secure a movable arm to the pivot frame 2 to stop pivotal movement relative to one another, which also facilitates the movement required for dumping of the contents of the container while mounted on the vehicle. The Locking device is automatically allowed to move to the locked position by the movement of the jib away from the arm, preferably in a telescoping manner. This movement occurs as the last step in the sequence of container loading to thereby automatically provide locking between the arm and the pivot frame 2 to prevent pivotal relative movement therebetween whenever the container is in the loaded position or is in dumping mode.

Assignee: Automated Waste Equipment Co., Inc.
    Inventors: Lazar Marmur, Gregory Krasnopolskiy
  • Patent number: 7192239
Abstract: A two staged system for powering the loading of a container upon a roll-off truck body or trailer utilizing initial movement of a single shoe within the vehicle frame and powering of movement thereof into abutment with respect to second movable shoe each of which includes a sheave about which the powering cable extends. Each shoe member moves through a path which is overlapping such that initially enhanced power and slower movement are provided to the container and during the second or final stage faster movement and less power is applied.

  • Publication number: 20060062660
Abstract: An apparatus for powering the movement of a container such as a waste container onto and off of a roll-off vehicle such as a roll-off truck body or roll-off trailer including a movable frame section with a movable frontal section which moves simultaneously with loading and or unloading of the container on the roll-off vehicle. At least one shoe is utilized which initially powers movement of the container toward the mounting surface on the frame and during the latter stages of this movement also powers movement of the movable frontal section and the movable tail in those configurations where it is included.
