Abstract: An adjustable seat includes a support bracket secured to a vehicle floor panel and a lower and upper portion pivotally connected thereto. The upper portion includes a plurality of lateral wing portions and each wing includes an elongated rod extending along a longitudinal length thereof. The lower and upper portions have an outer layer formed from resilient material. A mechanism is included for selectively pivoting the wing portions in sync about the respective rods such that the width of the upper portion can be adapted. Such a pivoting mechanism extends between the lower and upper portions and is adjacent to a rear side of the seat.
