  • Patent number: 10359218
Abstract: A system and method for a multistage condenser is described that reduces problems associated with temperature and pressure differential strains on tubes above and below a dead tube. Instead of connecting the dead tube to the I/O manifold, a physical separation is created. The physical separation can be created by shortening the dead tube, coring a portion of the I/O manifold where the dead tube is received, independent I/O manifolds, or other means.

    Filed: October 28, 2016
Date of Patent: July 23, 2019
    Assignee: Lennox Industries Inc.

  • Publication number: 20080008572
Abstract: A lift and secure latch assembly for a vehicle tailgate includes a pair of cables capable of applying upward force to the tailgate and a tensioning mechanism positioned within the tailgate and connected to the support members to apply tension thereto. One of the cables extends from a first lateral end of the tailgate and the other of the cables extends from a second lateral end of the tailgate. The tensioning mechanism is operable between a first position wherein the cables are retracted with the tailgate closed and a second position wherein the cables are extended with the tailgate open. The tensioning mechanism includes a spring member biasing the tensioning mechanism toward the first position. A latch selectively engages the tensioning mechanism to releasably secure the tensioning mechanism in the first position with the tailgate closed. Preferably, the latch is centrally positioned between lateral ends of the tailgate.

  • Publication number: 20070218743
Abstract: An end fitting assembly for a motion transmitting cable includes an end fitting having a horizontal central longitudinal axis and a pair of laterally spaced-apart prongs substantially parallel to the central longitudinal axis and resiliently deflectable inward toward one another, a support bracket having an opening coaxially receiving the end fitting and a slot extending from the opening to a top edge of the support bracket for insertion of the end fitting into the opening, and a sliding secondary lock movable between a first position wherein the prongs are inwardly deflectable and a second position wherein the sliding secondary lock engages the prongs to wedge the prongs into engagement with the support bracket and prevent inward deflection of the prongs. The sliding secondary lock has a locking tab engaging the end fitting when the sliding secondary lock is in the second position to secure the sliding secondary lock in the second position.

  • Publication number: 20060236806
Abstract: A motion transmitting remote control cable assembly includes a conduit having first and second ends and a central axis. A core wire is disposed along the central axis of the conduit. A molded fitting having first and second ends and a central bore is disposed at a first end of the conduit. The core wire extends through the central bore of the molded fitting. A hollow slider body including an outer peripheral surface and opposing first and second ends includes a central bore extending from the first to the second end. The core wire extends through the central bore of the hollow slider body. The hollow slider includes a slot formed through a top of the outer peripheral surface that defines a lock cavity. The molded fitting is movably disposed in the central bore of the hollow slider body. A spring that engages the hollow slider body in the molded fitting biases the hollow slider body and molded fitting apart.

  • Publication number: 20060236805
Abstract: A motion transmitting remote control cable assembly includes a conduit having first and second ends and a central axis. A core wire is disposed along the central axis of the conduit and includes first and second ends. A slide housing having opposing top and bottom walls, opposing side walls, and opposing first and second ends has a guide passage extending from the first to the second end of the slide housing. A slide member including opposing top and bottom surfaces, opposing side surfaces, and opposing first and second ends is coupled to the core wire at the first end of the core wire. The slide member is disposed within the guide passage and includes notches formed on one of the opposing side surfaces. A gear assembly is rotatably connected to the slide housing and meshes with the notches formed on the slide member. A torsion spring having first and second ends is disposed about the gear assembly and is attached to the gear assembly at the first end of the spring.

  • Publication number: 20060236804
Abstract: A shifter assembly includes a base having an integrally formed receptacle. The receptacle includes an outer peripheral surface and a bore formed along a central axis of the receptacle. A lock cavity is defined by a slot formed through a top of the outer peripheral surface. A cable assembly including a conduit surrounding a core wire has first and second ends. The first end is connected with the shifter assembly and a second end is operably connected to a transmission. A cable adjuster body is coupled to the cable assembly at the first end of the cable assembly. The cable adjuster body is received within the bore of the integrally formed receptacle. A lock member is adapted to be received within the lock cavity. The lock member is movable from an adjusting position allowing relative movement of the cable adjuster body relative to the receptacle, to a locked position, wherein the lock member engages the cable adjuster body preventing movement of the cable adjuster body relative to the receptacle.
