  • Publication number: 20150050380
Abstract: A new and improved method and apparatus for producing a temporary wheel protective cover or shield which can be temporarily installed on the wheel of the vehicle to protect it during the time interval between its manufacture date and its delivery to a customer. A tooling apparatus is used to form a cylindrical hub portion in the protective cover which includes a hub forming member, a reciprocally movable operating member slidably supported by a hub and a camming element operatively attached to the operating member. A plurality of radially extendable fingers are held in associated pockets and each of the fingers defines a cam contact surface abutably engageable with the camming element such that movement of the camming element towards the cam contact surfaces defined by the fingers, urges the fingers radially outwardly. When the camming element moves away from the finger cam contact surfaces, the fingers are allowed to retract in order to release the molded hub portion of the protective cover.

  • Patent number: 7912809
Abstract: A method, system, and interface for managing data in a manufacturing enterprise that provides a visual indication of projected results of currant activities. Method includes collecting multi-dimensional data comprising planned values and dynamically updated actual values, processing the values, projecting future events based on records of present and past events and comparison between the planned values and the processed actual values, and displaying an extrapolated status report indicating discrepancies between the planned values and the actual values. The system includes the interface comprising dynamically updated two-dimensional graphic display, a first dimension attribute corresponding to a preset interval of first dimension value from a present first dimension value onward, an array of second dimension attributes, sets of feature attributes that are associated with the second dimension attributes and presented as data in graphic or alphanumeric forms.

  • Patent number: 7171882
Abstract: A knife-like die for cutting a thermoformed plastic article from a sheet of thermoformable plastic. The die includes a die build up plate that is mounted to a first platen and a striker plate that is mounted to a second platen. The die further includes a die board having a knife element mounted thereto. A heating element heats the knife to a temperature that allows for easy cutting of the thermoformable plastic. The die board also includes a die travel stop which prevents the die from being forced into the striker plate thus damaging the knife element and a die location pilot that engages a feature on the sheet of thermoformable plastic to align the article with the die.

  • Patent number: 4726457
Abstract: A coin mechanism for vending machines comprising a coin receptacle, a detector for unlocking a dispensing mechanism only when a coin of the proper size is received in the receptacle, and a coin retaining device for retaining coins deposited in the mechanism only when a selected product has been properly dispensed from the machine. The detector includes a wall defining part of a coin slot, a window in the wall, a coin holding lever for holding coins across the window only when such coins are of the proper denomination, and a detector arm for entering the window when it is open to prevent the actuation of the product dispensing mechanism and for enabling the actuation of the dispensing mechanism when the window is closed by a coin.
