    Abstract: Various methods and devices are provided for allowing multiple surgical instruments to be inserted into sealing elements of a single surgical access device. The sealing elements can be movable along predefined pathways within the device to allow surgical instruments inserted through the sealing elements to be moved laterally, rotationally, angularly, and vertically relative to a central longitudinal axis of the device for ease of manipulation within a patient's body while maintaining insufflation.

    Abstract: A tube pulling apparatus is made up of a frame for receiving a tube, a pair of arm assemblies movably supported by the frame, and a pair of tube gripping assemblies rotatably supported by the arm assemblies and carried by the arm assemblies for movement into and out of engagement with the tube. The tube pulling assembly further comprises motive apparatus connected to each of the arm assemblies for moving the arm assemblies to move the tube gripping assemblies into engagement with the tube, and a spring is connected to the arm assemblies for biasing and urging the arm assemblies to move the tube gripping assemblies out of engagement with the tube. A drive assembly is connected to the tube gripping assemblies for rotating the tube gripping assemblies to pull the tube.

    Abstract: A tube end expander and a method of operating the same. The tube end expander comprises a rotatable, tubular cage defining a plurality of generally axially extending slots, and a plurality of rollers located within the cage and extending through the slots. The expander further comprises a rotatable, tapered mandrel axially extending into the cage in frictional, driving contact with inner surfaces of the rollers, and an auxiliary roller drive for transmitting rotary motion from the mandrel to the cage and rollers.
