    Abstract: A process for removing residual and tramp elements including absorbed, adsorbed or otherwise occluded gases from metal powders is disclosed. The process includes sequentially subjecting the metal powder to the melting and boiling points of the residual elements to be removed while in a vacuum atmosphere. In the case of some gases, the process includes cryogenic cooling near absolute zero temperatures.
