Abstract: This relates to a clasp lock for interlocking two overlapping closure panels of a carton. The clasp lock is made adjustable to compensate for different sizes of articles being packaged in the same carton. In order to effect the adjustment of the lock between the closure panels, the primary locking tab is of a stepped height and the closure panel carrying the primary locking shoulders is cut so that the primary locking shoulders are also stepped with respect to the free edge of the associated closure panel. In the interlocking of the closure panel portions, the primary locking tab will automatically engage the proper primary locking shoulder in accordance with the objects which are being packaged within the carton.

Abstract: This relates to a tray which is useful for many purposes and wherein the tray may be shipped in a knocked-down state and is readily erected by an ultimate user manually or automatically. The tray includes a base panel having upstanding side walls which are not connected at their remote ends to one another. The side walls remain in upstanding positions by means of a simple locking flap arrangement. In the original blank state, each side wall is defined along a respective edge of a base panel by an inner sidewall panel and outer sidewall panel, the two sidewall panels being connected together along a fold line and the inner sidewall panel being connected to the base panel along a fold line interrupted at regular intervals by C-shaped caddy cuts. The flat blank is partially erected by the manufacturer by folding the outer sidewall panels beneath the inner sidewall panels and gluing them together in face-to-face relation.

Abstract: This relates to a combined baking and display tray for crescent shaped bakery products. The tray is generally rectangular and is provided with a divider dividing the tray into crescent shaped compartments or areas for receiving the rolled dough and for retaining the dough in its curved crescent shape during baking.

Abstract: This relates to a closure interlock for closure panel assemblies of cartons of the wrap around type. The closure interlock includes portions of inner and outer closure panels and specifically includes a primary locking tab carried by an outer closure panel, and a secondary locking tab and secondary flap carried by an inner closure panel with the boundaries of an opening defined by the secondary locking tab and the secondary flap, when struck from the inner closure panel, also defining primary and secondary locking shoulders. In addition, each secondary flap carries remote from the associated secondary locking tab a separator tab which projects into the interior of the carton and is disposed between items of two adjacent rows to separate such items.

Abstract: This relates to a closure interlock for closure panels of cartons of the wrap around type. Each closure interlock includes a primary locking tab on an outer closure panel and a secondary locking tab and primary and secondary locking shoulders on an inner closure panel. The locking tabs are generally in alignment and the locking shoulders are spaced a very short distance transversely of the length of the closure interlock. This permits a very shallow angle of entry of the secondary locking tabs so that the closure interlocks may be aligned with and generally underlie items being packaged within the associated carton.

Abstract: A tray-type container is disclosed which is formed from paperboard having a coating of heat sealable and heat resistant film material and which, when fully set-up has a rectangular bottom wall with upstanding side walls which are connected at the corners by folded triangular web members and which have an outwardly directed flange formation at the top edges on which the margins of a lid member of the same material may be adhesively secured with provision for tearing out the major portion of the lid member so as to uncover the contents in the tray while leaving substantial marginal portions of the lid member intact and secured in reinforcing relation on the tray flange.

Abstract: A promotional card of paperboard is provided for incorporating in a package of stubby type bottled products which are disposed in double row transversely paired relation and held in a group by a plastic shroud or plastic shrink wrap, which card has a top panel generally with apertures for receiving capped portions of the bottles and for seating beneath the bottom edges of the cap skirts and snuggly engaging the outermost top portions of the bottles, the card being in the form of a flat foldable or formable blank which is trapped beneath the shroud or wrap and which is cut and scored to fit over a center pair of capped bottles with outer end portions conforming generally to interior face portions of the shroud or wrap and extending a portion of the distance down the outer sides of the bottles and when employed with the shroud terminating adjacent bottom edges of the shroud.

Abstract: A wraparound type carrier package for a group of bottles which are arranged in a double row and in transversely aligned pairs, which package is formed by wrapping about the top, sides, ends and bottom of the bottles, a cut and scored blank of paperboard, or similar foldable sheet material, which blank is divided into top, side and bottom wall forming panels with the top and side wall panels having hinged end wall closure forming panels, which end closure forming panels have interengaging locking elements on their free margins, the latter being adapted, when the package is formed by wrapping the blank about a group of bottles and engaging the locking elements on their free margins and engaging the locking elements on the infolded end closure panels, to hold the latter in end closing position.

Abstract: A tray-type container for processing and marketing a loaf of bread, or the like, and a method of forming the same is disclosed, which tray is formed from a single blank of paperboard having a coating of a heat sealable and heat resistant film material so as to provide, when fully set-up, a rectangular bottom wall with hingedly connected upstanding sidewalls integrally connected at the corners by pairs of triangular web members folded upon each other and against the outside faces of opposite sidewalls where they are secured in reinforcing relation by narrow top edge flanges folded into underlying relation with and sealed to narrow flanges at the top edge of the sidewalls with the film material being skip-cut at the top edge of the sidewalls so as to reduce buckling in the sidewalls which otherwise results due to the difference in shrinkage of the film and the paperboard material.

Abstract: An upwardly opening tray-like carrier carton is disclosed for packaging a plurality of articles having the general form of beverage bottles, which carrier is fabricated from a pair of blanks of foldable sheet material which are cut, scored, folded, and glued up, so as to provide connected panels which form, when set up, a partitioned carton structure comprising a double row of upwardly opening bottle receiving cells disposed on opposite sides of a central bottle separating partition and handle forming panel assembly. The assembly is characterized by an upstanding partition wall extending between the rows of cells on each side of the partition and handle forming assembly which is hinged at its opposite ends to pairs of foldable end wall panels so as to enable the cells on each side of said central partition and handle forming panel assembly to be collapsed, when empty, and to be folded into flattened relation against said partition and handle forming assembly.

Abstract: A tray-type container and a method of forming the same container is disclosed which is formed from a single blank of paperboard having a coating of a heat sealable film material so as to provide when fully set up, a rectangular bottom wall forming panel with hingedly connected upstanding sidewall and end wall forming panels which are integrally connected at the corners by pairs of triangular web members folded upon each other and against the outside faces of the end walls where they are secured by narrow top edge reinforcing and stiffening strips folded downwardly of the top edge into overlying relation with the top portions of the folded web members and the end wall, which reinforcing strips are heat sealed to corner connecting tab members folded with the corner web members into position beneath the strips.

Abstract: An article carrier for bottled beverages or similar articles which is characterized by a generally rectangular blank of paperboard or similar foldable sheet material cut and scored so that it may be folded and its opposite ends connected to form a sleeve for encompassing a row assembly of the articles with connected side and end wall panels disposed about the sides and ends of the assembly, and having a pair of bottom wall forming panels hinged to the bottom edges of the side wall panels which are overlapped and connected to form the bottom wall, together with a pair of top wall panels hinged to the top edges of the side wall panels which are overlapped and connected to form a top wall. In one form of the carrier the end walls terminate short of the top wall and in another form thereof the end walls extend to the top wall to form a complete enclosure.
