  • Patent number: 5160272
Abstract: In a backplane wiring system, individual plug devices are firmly connected to assembly PC boards, and are both capacitatively as well as inductively decoupled from one another by rectangular, metallic shielding housings open at one side which are slipped onto contact blades of the wiring backplane.
    Type: Grant

    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Karl Zell, Guenter Thom
  • Patent number: 4820173
Abstract: In a plug connector strip comprising contact springs, the contact springs include terminal lugs which press against a printed circuit board connected to the plug connector strip. For the compensation of tolerances in the thickness of the printed circuit boards, the terminal lugs are fixed only in a clamping point arranged within the plug connector strip and are therefore resiliently seated. The terminal lugs can be bent roughly at a right angle immediately after they emerge from the plug connector strip and can be constructed in a straight-line manner so that they press roughly perpendicularly against corresponding contact pads of the printed circuit board and are therefore particularly suited for a reflow of solder connection.

  • Patent number: 4752861
Abstract: A housing consists of modular housing units 1 which can be stacked one above another and beside each other and which are provided with mechanically stable sidewalls 11. Between the sidewalls 11 of vertically adjacent housing units 1, a slot is formed which takes up variations and irregularities in the adjacent sidewall edges and permits mechanically stable connection and simultaneous electrical connections to laterally adjacent housing units 1. The housing does not have a separate frame for the accommodation of the circuit boards. Horizontal locking plates 12 connect the sidewalls 11 and provide both guide rails for the circuit boards and cooling openings.

  • Patent number: 4674812
Abstract: A backplane wiring comprising a backplane printed circuit board 1 through which contact pins 2 are inserted and centering strips 3 which can be plugged on the contact pins of the circuit board to allow the acceptance of plugs or clip connectors so as to provide as many plugs as possible for the backplane wiring of the PC cards. The backplane printed circuit board 1 comprises a complete pin field and the centering strips 3 are provided with lateral recesses 4 at their longitudinal walls for accepting adjoining contact pins 2.
