  • Publication number: 20240075914
Abstract: A method for optimizing the meterability of brake force in an ABS braking with a brake-by-wire brake system. The method includes various steps. First, a driver brake request is sensed by a pedal force simulator. In addition, a trigger point (A) of an ABS braking is recognized. In the case of a recognized ABS braking, there is a correction of the sensed driver brake request such that, upon recognizing the trigger point (A) during a reduction of the sensed driver brake request, the corrected driver brake request is reduced to the extent that ABS braking is no longer present. The corrected driver brake request is subsequently implemented by building up a corresponding brake pressure in a brake device of the brake system.

  • Publication number: 20230365105
Abstract: A brake-by-wire system for a motor vehicle provides haptic feedback to the driver via the brake pedal in the event of an anti-lock braking. The brake system includes a brake pedal configured to receive a braking request from a driver driving the motor vehicle and to forward the request to a braking apparatus. The braking apparatus is configured to translate the braking request into a corresponding brake pressure and to transmit it to brake actuators. The brake pedal is further mechanically and/or hydraulically decoupled from the braking apparatus. The brake system has at least one mechanical actuator in the form of a unbalance motor and/or a magnetic plunger. The at least one mechanical actuator is connected to the brake pedal and is configured to induce the brake pedal to vibrate in the event of an anti-lock braking.

  • Patent number: 7559413
Abstract: The present invention relates to an automatic parking brake, including a brake piston, an auxiliary piston, a hydraulic chamber disposed between the brake piston and the auxiliary piston, a spring element, for prestressing the auxiliary piston, a spindle device connected to the auxiliary piston via a threaded connection, and a drive for the spindle device, wherein in a locked state of the parking brake, the brake piston is mechanically locked via the spindle device and the spring-loaded auxiliary piston, and in a released state of the parking brake, the auxiliary piston is blocked by means of the spring element and/or by means of the spindle device.

  • Patent number: 7265538
Abstract: A method and a device for measuring the speed of a pulse-activated electric motor are described. According to this method, the motor is fully activated at time intervals to be determined for a defined measuring time by the circuit element provided for timing and, in this time, the frequency of the current ripples, which is proportional to the motor speed, is measured. A current-proportional voltage measuring device is located on the circuit element, on whose load side are located an amplifier, filters, and an evaluation circuit in the form of a comparator for determining the frequency of the current ripples flowing in a measured phase during which the motor is fully activated.

  • Patent number: 7083391
Abstract: A method and a system for detecting the speed of a pump motor of a hydraulic pump system are provided, in which pump system a pump is driven by a pump motor to deliver hydraulic fluid into a pump reservoir. In accordance with the present invention, a pressure signal representing the fluid-delivery activity of the pump is detected, and the pressure peaks within this pressure signal identified. The speed of the pump motor is determined on the basis of the frequency or the time intervals of these pressure peaks.
