  • Patent number: 7832294
Abstract: A measuring probe is provided for measurements in metal or slag melts, the probe having a measuring head with an immersion end and a rear end, and having sensors arranged on the immersion end with signal lines. The sensors and signal lines are guided through the measuring head by channels, and a separate channel is provided for each sensor. A measuring probe is also provided for measurements in metal or slag melts, the probe having a measuring head with an immersion end and a rear end, having sensors arranged on the immersion end, and having lateral recesses arranged in front of the rear end.

  • Patent number: 7418882
Abstract: A measuring probe is provided for measurement in molten metal, the probe having a measuring head arranged on an immersion end of a carrier tube. A bath contact and at least one sensor for determining a component of the molten metal are arranged on the immersion end. The bath contact, viewed in the immersion direction, has a first bath contact region with two surface areas extending parallel to the immersion direction on opposite sides of the bath contact.

  • Patent number: 7370544
Abstract: A device is provided for performing measurements and/or taking samples in molten metals with a sublance, which has a sublance body, on whose one end a lance holder is arranged for receiving an immersion probe. The sublance body is movably connected to the lance holder and/or the lance holder has several parts relatively movable to each other.

  • Patent number: 5792329
Abstract: The invention relates to a method to measure an electro-chemical activity of a non-metallic liquid layer lying on a molten bath by means of a measuring cell with an electro-chemical element which has an active part and with a counter electrode. The invention also relates to a measuring cell to measure an electro-chemical activity. In order to achieve exact measuring results of an electro-chemical activity with the least possible expenditure, the measuring cell is dipped through a non-metallic liquid layer into a molten bath, the active part of the electro-chemical element being surrounded by the non-metallic liquid layer of the material of this layer on insertion, this material being held at the electro-chemical element until after measuring the electro-chemical activity and the measurement being carried out after dipping the electro-chemical element into the molten metal within the molten bath. The electro-chemical element is especially developed to enable that the material to be measured adheres to it.
