  • Publication number: 20060175027
Abstract: The invention relates to a sectional door. According to the invention, the sectional door comprises at least one first section and one second section (16, 78), whereby in the closed state, the sections of the sectional door are arranged on top of each other essentially on one plane in order to improve said sectional door and especially in order to provide rapid and safe operation of the sections (16, 78) of said sectional door, and whereby the sections (16, 78) are guided on at least one side edge by means of a section guiding device (12) such that the sections (16, 78) interact with each other without connecting means being arranged therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6901703
Abstract: Doors and breakaway mechanisms for use with a door are disclosed. A disclosed door includes a panel; a guide located adjacent a doorway opening; a carriage; and a coupling releasably securing the carriage to the panel. The coupling releases the panel from the carriage in response to a breakaway force. The magnitude of the breakaway force is dependent on a condition such as the position of the door relative to the doorway or the position of a roller carried by the carriage.

  • Publication number: 20020148571
Abstract: The invention relates to a quick-action rolling shutter door and to modules thereof. Quick-action rolling shutter doors are used for closing openings in the walls of warehouses or factory buildings in order to restrict the loss of energy from heated or cooled rooms, and to protect the environment by keeping escaping noise, odors and dust emissions to a minimum. Known quick-action rolling shutter doors have disadvantages in relation to heat insulation. The object of the invention is to provide an improved quick-action rolling shutter door with corresponding modules. According to a first aspect of the invention, a flexible quick-action rolling shutter door hanging (12) is provided. Said door hanging (12) can be wound up onto a roller, is guided on at least one side by a guiding device and has at least one thick-walled insulating layer (36, 38) consisting of plastic foam material.
