    Abstract: An actuating element for a lordosis supporting device driven by a traction rope and a lordosis supporting element in a vehicle seat are provided. The actuating device includes a deflecting element that is mounted on a frame such that it is pivotable about an actuating shaft and includes a rope guiding element that is arranged with the fastening point and the deflecting element in such a way that a rope portion leading toward the deflecting element and a rope portion leading away from the deflecting element are guided approximately parallel in a starting position. In preferred embodiments, a fixed end of the traction rope is fastened to the frame at a fastening point and a free end of the traction rope is guided at least partially around the deflecting element for actuating the device.

    Abstract: A spindle drive for a lumbar support in a backrest structure of a motor vehicle seat includes two gliders guided on a carrier of the lumbar support. Each glider is connected to a spindle nut which is engaged with an associated thread section of a spindle. The thread sections have threads of opposite thread pitch, so that the gliders are movable in opposite directions and pivot towards and away from the carrier supporting bails of a supporting device hinged to the carrier and being adjustable substantially perpendicular to the carrier. At least one of the spindle nuts partly encompasses the spindle and can be clipped onto its associated thread section of the spindle.

The rest frame includes at least two longitudinal struts running in the longitudinal direction of the backrest. The backrest structure also includes a lumbar support arranged on the front side of the rest frame for supporting the back region of a motor vehicle occupant. The lumbar support includes a transverse traverse being adjustable along the longitudinal struts with a height adjusting device, to which a support device is hinged and is adjustable with a depth adjusting device substantially perpendicular to the transverse traverse. The lumbar support further includes a retaining device supporting the transverse traverse and extending substantially in the longitudinal direction of the backrest and receiving the height adjusting device.

    Abstract: This invention relates to a backrest pivot that includes a first fitting attached to a seat bottom part, an angle adjuster that is mounted so as to be rotatable and adjustable relative to the first fitting, and a second fitting attached to a backrest. The backrest pivot includes a locking latch that can be actuated by a bolt and with which there are associated a first catch for fixing the backrest in a comfortable position and a second catch for fixing the backrest in a folded-forward position. The backrest pivot includes a mechanism by means of which the fixing of the backrest in the folded-forward position can be cancelled by a first and a second means which can be actuated independently of each other.
