  • Publication number: 20120218895
Abstract: A method for managing transactions across a large number of service providers includes determining performance metrics associated with each of a plurality of service providers and generating a score for each service provider based on the performance metrics associated with each of the plurality of service providers taken over a short time period. The service providers are then sorted based on the scores to generate a list of service providers. Customer transactions are then assigned to one of the service providers based on the order of the list of service providers. The list of service providers is reprioritized based on mid-term metrics and accumulated costs taken over a mid-term period that is longer than the short term period.

  • Patent number: 7920684
Abstract: A system for processing calls based on call attributes includes a call screening processor arranged for receiving a call setup message for placing a call between an originating switch and a dialed number. The call setup message contains basic network information including at least the number dialed and information related to the originating switch. The call screening processor matches the basic network information with data in a database in response to receiving a call setup message. The data in the database identifies call attributes of the call setup message based on the data matched to basic network information. The identified call attributes comprise call attributes comprise at least one of trunk ID, member ID, and destination. The call screening processor then processes the call setup message in accordance with the call attributes by appending data to the call setup message or altering the call setup message.

  • Patent number: 7515697
Abstract: A method of settling accounts of buyers and sellers of telecommunication services by an online exchange system includes storing data representing a financial account of at least one seller and at least one buyer, wherein the financial account includes at least one of accounts receivable and cash receipts. A service node receives an offer to sell the services from the at least one seller and requests to buy the services from the at least one buyer. The service node then matches the offers and requests in accordance with one or more parameters specified in the offers and requests. A route table is generated based on the routes specified in the matched offers and requests and a switch node is configured based on the route table. Fees are computed based on the usage of the matched routes and the financial accounts of the at least one seller and at least one buyer based on the computed fees.

  • Patent number: 7447645
Abstract: A method and system for optimizing telecommunications network resources using a feedback control system. In particular, a call screening device is used in conjunction with a signal switching point to accept or reject incoming phone calls based on far-end capacities of terminating carriers or invalid calling codes in the calling numbers as indicated by signaling messages from terminating carriers.

  • Publication number: 20070244760
Abstract: A method for facilitating the trading of media space includes collecting, by a server node, an offer of an ad avail from a seller and a request for an ad avail by a buyer. The offer is in effect for a fixed time period and includes a first price at the commencement of the fixed time period and a second price at the end of the fixed time period. A price-time relationship for the ad avail is specified by the seller such that the price of the ad avail varies over the fixed time period. The server node matches the request to the offer at time t1 during the fixed time period and the server node computes a price for the ad avail based on t1 using the price-time function.
