Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for providing location based services are provided. Embodiments may include storing locations for a plurality of users of a telecommunication environment and contact lists of associated users for the plurality of users. Embodiments may also include providing the locations of the associated users for a first user based on a request from the first user. The request may further include providing locations for associated users who are located within an area of interest. The area of interest may be defined by a particular distance from the first user or by a point of interest of the first user. The locations of the users may be determined based on the locations of communication devices of the users including an identified receiving communication device for each user.

Abstract: Method, device, and storage medium for providing a program service based on identifying a user at a user level versus at an account level or a device level. The user is identified based on an identifier associated with a mobile device. The program service allows the user to store program session information according to various user settings including location, time of day, user device used during previous session, type of program, and service provider that provides access to the program service. The program service allows the user to share program session information with other users or prevent other users from accessing the program session information. The program service provides digital rights management at the user level.

Abstract: Techniques for operation chart rescaling are described. In at least some embodiments, an operations chart is provided that tracks various parameters for an operation. The operations chart can include visual indicia of operation parameters, such as an operation value indicator that indicates a current operation value. A progress indicator can also be included that provides a visual indication of operation progress. In response to a change in an operation value for the operations chart (e.g., a change in data rate), the operations chart can be rescaled to visually reflect the change in operation value. In at least some implementations, techniques are employed to smooth visual movement of chart elements during a rescaling operation.

Abstract: A network device may include a memory to store a database including voicemail message information associated with a voicemail mailbox, a transmitter, and a receiver. The transmitter may send a notification to each of a plurality of communication devices, the notification including an indication of a number of new voicemail messages in the voicemail mailbox, an indication of a total number of voicemail messages in the voicemail mailbox, and an identifier of a most recent voicemail message in the voicemail mailbox, where each of the plurality of communication devices uses the notification signal to determine whether to request a list of voicemail messages. The receiver may receive, from one of the communication devices in response to the notification, a request for the list of voicemail messages associated with voicemail message information stored in the database. The transmitter may sends, to the one of the plurality of communications devices, the list of voicemail messages.

Abstract: An exemplary method includes a media content presentation system receiving a plurality of timestamped and geotagged media content instances generated during a live event by a plurality of attendees of the live event, detecting input provided by a user specifying a time period associated with the live event and input provided by the user specifying a viewing area within a venue associated with the live event, identifying one or more media content instances that have a timestamp included within the specified time period and a geotagged location within the specified viewing area, and presenting the identified one or more media content instances to the user within a graphical user interface in a manner that is temporally synchronized with an event timeline associated with the live event. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and apparatuses are provided for allowing a user to communicate with a set top box and a media content server through a mobile communication device, such as a cellular phone. The user may be able to request and receive a customer specific interactive programming guide through the mobile communication device. The interactive programming guide may allow the user to search and record media programs, including sending recording commands to a set top box to record a particular media program. The interactive programming guide may also allow the user to order and receive media programs to the mobile communication device. Embodiments may provide a personal video recorder proxy server as an interface between the mobile communication device and the set top box and the media content server.

The network interface setting includes a particular combination of enabled and disabled wireless network interfaces. Abstract: This disclosure details the implementation of methods, systems and computer program products for remote digital video recorder (DVR) interface provisioning (hereinafter, “DIP”). DIP systems allow for authentication, validation, and registration of users and/or user devices as well as management of identifiers associated with those users and devices. Through interaction with DIP systems, users may associate different devices with each other and/or with one or more underlying service systems and/or accounts to allow integrated use of multiple devices in association with those services. In one implementation, DIP systems may be employed to register one or more mobile and/or remote devices (e.g., mobile phones) with DVR systems to allow for remote manipulation of video recording schedules, content management, parental control management, and/or the like DVR features.
