  • Publication number: 20070292220
Abstract: In a first aspect, the invention relates to a cutting tool that comprises a part (1) having an insert seat as well as a cutting insert (2) detachably connected in the same, which insert comprises a first serration connecting surface (3), which is formed of ridges spaced-apart by grooves, which ridges are arranged to engage grooves situated between ridges in a second serration connecting surface (4) serving as insert seat in said tool part (1). According to the invention, in one (3) of said serration connecting surfaces (3, 4), at least one enlarged ridge (18) is arranged between two spaced-apart fields (20a, 20b), which separately comprises a plurality of ordinary ridges of a certain size, which enlarged ridge is arranged to engage a correspondingly enlarged groove (19) in the second serration connecting surface (4). In additional aspects, the invention also relates to a cutting insert and a tool part as such.

  • Publication number: 20070183856
Abstract: A boring bar, such as for internal turning, includes a front pocket that is defined by a shelf-like surface and a ramp surface, an insert seat that is countersunk in the shelf surface and disposed asymmetrically in relation to a center axis, a chip flute that is countersunk in the outside of the bar is disposed on the same side of the center axis as the insert seat, and an internal channel that supplies a fluid to the front part of the bar. The fluid channel ends in an outlet mouth disposed on the side of the bar that is opposite the insert seat in order to guide a flow of the fluid past the insert seat toward the front opening of the chip flute.

  • Patent number: 6572309
Abstract: A holder includes a seat which removably carries a cutting insert for chip removing machining. The seat can be widened by the manual application of a force to enable the insert to be replaced. The force is applied by a manually actuable key which includes a shaft and an expansion mechanism mounted on an end of the shaft. The expansion mechanism includes a plate which is mountable to the holder in a manner enabling a projection pin of the shaft to enter a slot which constitutes an extension of the insert seat. The portion of the pin entering the slot has an out-of-round cross sectional shape. By rotating the shaft relative to the plate, the pin rotates to widen the slot, and thus to widen the seat. Rotation of the shaft relative to the plate is terminated after a predetermined amount of rotation, in response to mutual engagement between stop surfaces disposed on the shaft and the plate, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5493831
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for securing glass facade elements comprised of sealed glazing units which include at least two parallel glass sheets separated by a spacer which extends between the glass sheets and terminates short of the outer edges of the sheets, wherein a glue layer is applied between the glass sheets but outwardly of the spacer, and wherein facade elements are secured to a frame structure and preferably a frame structure comprised of aluminum profiled sections and having a clip placed and penetrating the glue layer between the glass sheets of two neighboring facade elements.

  • Patent number: 5301484
Abstract: A device for fitting glass facade elements to a building facade, in which the facade elements are glued to profiled sections which are secured to the building facade by means of fastener devices, such as screws. The invention is characterized in that the device includes three parts, a first part (2; 22) intended to be fastened in the facade, a second part (3; 23) which is intended to be glued to the upper edge of the facade element (1), and a third part (4; 24) which is intended to be glued to the bottom edge of the element (1) . The first part (2) includes an upwardly facing channel (7) which is intended to coact with a downwardly extending tongue (8) belonging to the third part (4; 24), and further includes a downwardly extending tongue (9) which extends parallel with the channel (7) and which is located on a lower level than the channel (7) and which is intended to coact with an upwardly open pocket (10) belonging to the second part ( 3; 23).

  • Patent number: 4226823
Abstract: In cables where the conductor is provided with an insulation of thermoplastic or cross-linked polyethylene, the insulation may be covered with a strippable outer semiconductive layer consisting of a cross-linked polymer composition which comprises a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate and further carbon black and an organic peroxide. The strippable layer is applied on the conductor insulation by extrusion of the polymer composition in an extrusion machine and by a subsequent crosslinking in the polymer composition.

  • Patent number: 4107245
Abstract: An object of cross-linked polymer, such as insulation for a cable conductor or a cable sheath, is formed by using a starting material containing a peroxide and a polymer material with the ability to undergo a cross-linking reaction in the presence of peroxide. The reaction is carried out during at least a part of the process in the presence of a substance which has the ability to undergo a color change during the cross-linking reaction of the polymer material so that a color change of the substance is obtained. There may also be added a dye which does not have the ability to undergo a color change during the cross-linking of the polymer material. The substance may be an aromatic compound containing at least one halogen atom and/or at least one heterocyclic ring in which ring there is at least one nitrogen atom to which no hydrogen atom is linked.
