  • Publication number: 20150125669
Abstract: This invention concerns a pre-fabricated marking system and a method for producing such a marking system, comprising the steps of a) producing a base layer (4) made of a first meltable composition whereby said first meltable composition comprises a material selected from the group consisting of resin, polymer, filler, softener and plasticizer, b) cooling the so produced base layer (4), c) applicating at least one, wholly or partly covering layer (5) onto the base layer (4) of one or more different second meltable composition(s) whereby said second meltable composition comprises a material selected from the group consisting of resin, polymer, plasticizer and preferably one or more pigments (2,3), and d) solidifying at least the base layer (4).

  • Patent number: 7678039
Abstract: Method for supervising a centrifugal separator with a separating chamber, a radially inner outlet connected to the separating chamber and to an outlet conduit, with a flow detector disposed in the outlet conduit and adapted to detecting a flow in the outlet conduit, and an intermittently openable radially outer outlet connected to the separating chamber. In order reliably and easily to supervise the intermittent discharge of the centrifugal separator, the pressure is measured by a sensor disposed in a portion of the centrifugal separator which is pressure-transmittingly connected to a central portion of the interior of the rotor. If the supervision unit does not detect a pressure drop pulse from the sensor within a predetermined period of time from when an intermittent discharge is initiated, an alarm signal is emitted.

  • Patent number: 7086172
Abstract: The invention relates to a grid (10) adapted to be arranged on a patient's skin to provide positioning information in CT-guided percutaneous operations. In one embodiment, the grid (10) comprises a flat and generally rectangular frame having two long sides (11a, 11b) and two short sides (12a, 12b), with a number of transverse ribs (13, 14) being provided between the two long sides (11a, 11b). According to the invention, at least some of the transverse ribs (13, 14) are elastic. By using his/her fingers, a doctor can thereby separate two neighbouring ribs (13, 14) such that an opening is provided in the grid (10). Through this opening access is obtained to the skin area under the grid (10), or the grid (10) can be threaded over and removed from a medical instrument which, between two adjacent ribs (13, 14), is inserted into the patient's body.

  • Patent number: 5868684
Abstract: The invention relates to a hard tissue biopsy sampling device, e.g. for bone in humans or animals, comprising a tube shaped casing or sleeve with a distal end provided with a cutting edge and a proximal end. The invention further comprises a needle insertable in the sleeve, the needle extending out of the distal end of the sleeve, and having a tip allowing penetration in the hard tissue. The sleeve exhibits in the vicinity of its distal end a portion having reduced outer diameter. The distal end has a section with reducing diameter, such that the inner diameter of the interior of the device is continuously reduced over at least the major part of the section. In side projection, the cutting edge forms an angle in relation to a perpendicular plane through the cross-section of the device, the angle preferably being 17.degree.-23.degree..
