Abstract: (R) and (S) enantiomers of the formula ##STR1## in which n is 1 or 2,W is as defined in the specificationwhich are characterized in that X is halogen, SO.sub.3 H, SO.sub.2 Cl or SO.sub.2 NR.sub.1 R.sub.2 where R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are, independently of one another, hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted, branched or unbranched alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted aryl or heteroaryl, or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 form, together with the nitrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted heterocycle, a process for their preparation and their use for racemate resolution.

Abstract: A method controls adjustment devices of a motor vehicle seat. The devices are assigned to the longitudinal movement of the seat and the tilting movement of the seat back and are activated by positioning switching elements to move the motor vehicle seat into predetermined set positions. A switching device corresponding with the seat back blocks the associated adjustment device before the seat back runs into an obstacle lying in its range of adjustment. In order to optimize the motion sequences when a rearward tilting movement of the seat back is initiated by one positioning switching element, shortly before the seat back runs into the obstacle, the adjustment device is blocked from further tilting movement of the seat back and a longitudinal movement of the seat forward is automatically initiated by the switching device.

Abstract: A locking device for a plug-in connection between a fluid pipe, provided with a shaped-on radially protruding abutment, and a connecting part utilizes a clamp, which can be guided in the connecting part, two branches of the clamp overlapping the abutment of a correctly plugged-in fluid pipe in order to secure the plug-in connection against axial separation. A guide slot, for receiving the clamp, opens along its length towards a plug-in side of the connecting part in order to prevent incorrectly produced plug-in connections, i.e. unsecured conditions, while the clamp itself is provided with a guard which can be displaced in the elongated opening of the guide slot. This guard ensures that the abutment of the plugged-in fluid pipe is either overlapped by the clamp branches, in the case of a correct plug-in connection, or remains visible above the plug-in side of the connecting part, in the case of an incorrectly executed plug-in connection.

Abstract: For swivel-assistance to a roof-skin holding bow forming the lower end of a folding canopy, lateral limbs of the holding bow being affixed to associated canopy struts of a main hoop, there is provided a rod element, the length of which can be altered, which is articulated at both ends and is arranged in the side wall region of the folding canopy. Since on end of the rod element is connected to the facing lateral limb of the roof-skin holding bow and the second end of the rod element is connected in articulated fashion to the associated canopy strut, the rod element can be arranged in space-saving manner in the side board.

Abstract: A switch with a control element for a sliding-lifting-roof remotely actuated by an auxiliary force and installed into a vehicle roof, whereby the control element symbolically corresponds approximately to the shapes of the sliding-lifting-roof and is arranged in a part of the switch symbolically corresponding approximately to the shapes of the entire vehicle roof in plan view in such a manner that overall the vehicle roof with installed sliding-lifting-roof is symbolized thereby.

Abstract: A sun visor provided with a protective sun visor plate for the windshield of a vehicle whose protective sun visor plate is pivotally and axially displaceably supported on a horizontal mounting rod whereby the mounting rod is pivotally retained in a fixed bearing support about an approximately vertical axis by way of an angularly bent area; in order to obviate a separate displacement of the sun visor into its optimum axial position, when pivoting the sun visor in front of the window of the coordinated side door, provision is made according to the present invention that a lever which, on the one hand, is operatively connected with the protective sun visor plate and, on the other hand, is pivotally secured at the vehicle, is so arranged that during the pivoting of the mounting rod about the approximately vertical axis, an axial displacement of the protective sun visor plate on the mounting rod is automatically effected.

Abstract: A seat cushion adapted to be concealed in a back rest area of a motor vehicle seat includes a number of superimposed chambers, with the chambers being individually inflatable for individual support of a spinal column of the user of the seat. The individual chambers are delimited at intervals by a connecting ribs, with each connecting rib following along staggered paths and, preferably, along staggered undulating paths so that adjoining chamber walls form a tooth-like meshing. Thus, a transition area formed by the tooth-like meshing of the chambers is percieved as comfortable when the chambers are inflated to different hardnesses.

Abstract: A switching device for controlling servo drive mechanisms of vehicle seats, especially the seatback and/or seat cushion of automobiles. For each seat part to be adjusted there is provided a separate switching lever with a configuration arrangement at least essentially symbolic of the seat part to be adjusted by the respective lever. The respective switching levers are movably arranged in directions analogous to the intended adjusting directions of the seat part to be adjusted.

Abstract: A windshield wiper installation for motor vehicles, in which wiper arms together with wiper blades which are driven from an electric motor by way of linkage members and wiper shafts, are disposed in the parked position thereof inside of a well in the cowl of the body in front of the windshield; the driving members for the wiper arms are thereby so constructed that the wiper arms together with the wiper blades are manually movable out of their parking position in the wiping direction through a predetermined angular path and subsequently are movable back into the parked position.

Abstract: An installation for the protection of a line, according to which the line is surrounded at least within its area endangered by external influences by a coaxially arranged tubular member and the annular space disposed between the line and the tubular member is filled by a control medium which triggers a warning indication in case of an unusual pressure change caused, for example, by mechanical damage to the outer tubular member.
