  • Patent number: 6852916
Abstract: This invention relates to a lute comprising a body-shaped sound box and a neck attached thereto. The sound box is made up of a domed rear section and a cover. The aim of the invention is to provide a lute which can meet the needs of modern concert performances and be used by contemporary guitarists, whereby the excellent sound qualities of the lute are retained and the instrument can be used in a modern-day orchestra. This is achieved by providing the cover and the string-holder with a outwardly curved shape; a surface that is devoid of any transverse beams is arranged on the underside in an approximately symmetrical position with respect to the string holder and said surface is configured as a strip-free surface or fitted with strips which are symmetrical with respect to the center axis.

  • Patent number: 6735099
Abstract: The invention relates to a power supply unit for bipolar power supply of a plasma technology or surface technology system having at least one controllable d.c. power supply (G1, G2), whose positive and negative outputs are connected to the input of at least one bridge circuit of electronic power switches (T1 to T4), said power switches being connected on the input side to at least one control signal conditioning device and on the output side to at least one current detection circuit for the open-/closed-loop control of the power switches, and being connected to the load of the system (A). By means of this invention, current pulses having freely variable amplitudes (Vo+, Vo−) can be generated for the positive and negative current pulses by providing for each bridge circuit (T1 to T4) at least two d.c. power supplies (G1, G2), and the positive output of the two d.c.

  • Patent number: 5303139
Abstract: The invention relates to a bi-polar power supply for a plasma chamber including an adjustable DC power supply having a positive output terminal and a negative output terminal. A transistor bridge circuit having two input bridge terminals is coupled to the positive and negative output terminals. Two bridge output terminals of the transistor bridge are coupled to the plasma chamber. A current detector is coupled to the two bridge output terminals for detecting the current flowing to the plasma chamber and controlling the transistor bridge circuit to provide a bi-polar power supply to the plasma chamber.

  • Patent number: 5080709
Abstract: The herbicidal agents containing a compound of the formula (A) ##STR1## in which R denotes ##STR2## in which X denotes chlorine or bromine and Y denotes H or chlorine, and R.sub.1 denotes H, alkyl, alkinyl or one equivalent of a cation, in combination with a compound of the formula (B) ##STR3## in which R.sub.2 denotes bromine or iodine and R.sub.3 denotes H, NH.sub.4, an alkali metal cation or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.8)-alkyl, or with a compound of the formula (C) ##STR4## in which R.sub.4 denotes H, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.8)-alkyl or one equivalent of a cation, with the condition that if, in formula (A), R denotes ##STR5## combinations of the compound of the formula (A) with compounds of the formula (B) are excluded.

  • Patent number: 4589908
Abstract: Combinations of herbicides of the formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R denotes H, alkyl or one cation equivalent, with herbicides of the formula (II) ##STR2## wherein X denotes Cl or Br, Y denotes H or Cl and Z denotes alkyl, and if X is Br, Y must be Cl, possess surprising synergistic properties in controlling weeds.
