  • Patent number: 6318136
Abstract: An electromagnetically controllable safety lock includes a locking bar which moves a slider, which is provided with teeth and which carries a blocking plate equipped with a passage pin channel. The blocking plate is coupled via a spring to a control plate, which has an angularly offset passage pin channel. The control plate supports an armature, which can be held by an electromagnet, fixed to the housing when the locking bar is subjected to a control movement. Both channels are aligned with the lock axis during an opening action so that the passage pin has a free path.

  • Patent number: 5878612
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuated lock is disclosed, which includes a lock bolt with a turnpin. An electromagnet is used as a retaining magnet, the electromagnet including a controlling and locking mechanism for locking or releasing the lock bolt. A control slide moves a control cam, a locking slide has a turnway, and a cross slide is coupled to the electromagnet with the locking slide. In a particularly preferred embodiment, a handling mechanism is used for actuating the lock bolt and for driving the control slide moving the control cam, the cross slide coupled to the electromagnet and the locking slide, so that the turnpin of the lock bolt immerses in the turnway of the locking slide. In an alternative, preferred embodiment, a tumbler lock mechanism is used, instead of the handling mechanism, and includes a double-bit key, so that both a key and a coded command are required for opening the lock.

  • Patent number: 5775143
Abstract: A resettable double-bit lock is disclosed, with a bolt having a resetting blade and a plurality of studded disks supported therein. The studded disks are adjacent a plurality of tumblers, the tumblers being supported pivotally around a mandrel and arranged by a double-bit key. A resetting swivel is supported on the bottom surface of the housing for the lock, with the resetting swivel being actuated by a bit of a resetting key and displacing thereby a resetting lock device. The resetting lock device includes a nose which releases a locking angle, the latter of which folding over into an opening position under a biassing force, which is preferably created by a spring. The locking angle further includes an arm so that when the bolt of the lock is pulled backwards, the resetting blade runs against the arm of the locking angle and releases the plurality of studded disks contained within the resetting blade.

  • Patent number: 5582049
Abstract: A combination lock is disclosed having four dial buttons arranged in a lock box in a rectangular fashion with a handle driving a bolt which is controlled by the dial buttons. The bottom of the lock box has four bearing sleeves supporting four base plates provided with "n" number of teeth. Each base plate has, on its jacket surface, a radial groove. A cross-shaped scan lock is swivel-mounted between the base plates, with the scan lock having four scan pins, or burls, fitting into the radial grooves of each of the base plates, and a lock block immersing in the bolt. Catch disks are provided with "n" number of teeth and square-shaped holes, which are supported on the base plates. The dial buttons are provided with square shafts and have "n" numbers or symbols immersed in the catch disks. Each base plate also has a concentric bore and each bore has a coupling pin provided with conical ends. The pins engage conical bores of a switch plate and one of "n" bores of the catch disks.

  • Patent number: 4993833
Abstract: The invention relates to an aiming device for weapons whose targets are disposed at changing distances and whose fired projectiles follow a curved trajectory. The aiming device calculates the distance from the weapon to the target. The calculated distance is used as a basis for correcting the point of aim with allowance for the ballistical trajectory, the latter being dependent upon the particular weapon and particular ammunition used. To correct the point of aim, a storage medium storing the ballistic trajectory correlates the range-finding data with the ballistic trajectory data. The resulting signal actuates a row of diodes which are reflected into the beam path of the optical system. Depending upon the range and the trajectory, a particular diode of the row lights up and is brought into registration with the target.

  • Patent number: 3948179
Abstract: Practice device for mortars having a central tube for receiving a subcaliber training ammunition. A locking member is firmly and detachably connected at the rear end of the tube and receives and mounts the subcaliber training ammunition therein. The tube also is arranged to receive thereabout an annular member having a lateral dimension corresponding to a predetermined mortar caliber and a nut member which is secured to the front end with the annular member being positioned between the nut member and the locking member whereby the practice device may be fired from a mortar barrel of the predetermined caliber and may be reused.
