  • Patent number: 9623394
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for the generation of molecular microarrays. The invention relates therefore to a universal approach for the generation of protein microarrays, DNA microarrays and RNA microarrays (in general nucleic acid microarrays), by production of an output molecule from a template molecule microarray via enzymatic or chemical processes and transfer of the output molecule onto the desired molecular microarray.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 3, 2012
Date of Patent: April 18, 2017
    Assignee: ALBERT-LUDWIGS-UNIVERSITAET FREIBURG

  • Patent number: 5474480
Abstract: The invention concerns a control system for operating a drive assembly of a ship. The system consists of an engine (1), a transmission (3) and an adjustable clutch (4) for forward and reverse motions. A control station (15), a control lever (27) and a control electronics (15) are provided for adjusting the direction of motion and the speed of the ship. In order to influence the reaction of the ship when changing direction, several reversing aids are provided according to the invention. The pilot can use the reversing aids by actuating a selection key (24) located on the control station.

  • Patent number: 4461645
Abstract: A method of and an apparatus for cooling white cement clinker from a rotary kiln wherein the clinker is classified into at least two and preferably more particle-size fractions which are quenched with water with residence times staggered so as to increase as the particle size range increases. The cooling is effected to a temperature of below 1200.degree. C. but without excessively cooling the clinker so that all fractions retain sufficient sensible heat to drive off water picked up during the quenching process and resulting in completely dry clinker.

  • Patent number: 4062156
Abstract: The telescoping elements of an extensible rod may be coupled sequentially to a coaxial, partly threaded spindle by respective internally threaded coupling members, each element being drivingly engaged with the spindle by a previously engaged, abuttingly coupled element. A yieldably resilient mounting for the coupling member or for one of two cooperating abutment members permits smooth engagement of the spindle threads with the coupling members.
