Patent number: 4311128Abstract: Means for supplying a fuel/air mixture to an internal combustion engine comprises a housing, means for injecting fuel into the housing, means for transferring sufficient heat to the fuel so that substantially all the fuel is vaporized when it leaves the housing, means for admitting air into the housing to form a mixture with the vaporized fuel, outlet conduit means for conducting the mixture out of the housing for combustion in the engine and, preferably, rotor means positioned in the outlet conduit means for rotation by the gases passing through the outlet conduit means.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 1980Date of Patent: January 19, 1982Assignee: Donald B. ConlinInventor: Gunther Bernecker

Patent number: 4301096Abstract: A carburetor for supplying a fuel/air mixture to an internal combustion engine comprises fuel regulation means for controlling flow rate of the fuel in response to a motor vehicle throttle and continuously feeding the fuel to the intake manifold of the engine, air admitting means for admitting air with the ejected fuel into the intake manifold, and fuel/air admixing means including a plurality of blades rotating by suction force due to the operation of the engine. The fuel and air passing through the fuel regulation means and the air admitting means, respectively, are atomizingly admixed and are fed to the engine through the intake manifold.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 1979Date of Patent: November 17, 1981Assignee: G.M.C. Research, Inc.Inventor: Gunther Bernecker

Patent number: 4164525Abstract: A device for supplying fuel to an internal combustion engine comprises a shell, a tube received in the shell and a rod received in the tube with a sliding fit. A plurality of orifices in the tube at intervals along at least a portion of the length of the tube is provided. The rod is insertable in the tube to an extent sufficient to block the orifices and retractable to an extent sufficient to leave the orifices unobstructed. The number of orifices left unobstructed increases in proportion to the extent to which the rod is retracted. The rod includes means for connection to a linkage from a motor vehicle throttle for effecting axial movement of the rod. An annular space is defined between the exterior wall of the portion of the length of the tube having orifices and the portion of the length of the interior wall of the shell facing the orifices. Also provided are means defining passages for admitting liquid fuel into the annular space.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 1977Date of Patent: August 14, 1979Assignee: G.M.C. Research, Inc.Inventor: Gunther Bernecker
