  • Patent number: 5382771
Abstract: To render more economical the manufacture of galvanized bar segments 10 illustratively used for three-dimensional frameworks, the components of the bar segments 10, namely the hollow bar 11 and the end pieces 12, are galvanized before being assembled. The ring welds between the galvanized components 11, 12 are implemented by laser welding. Because of the high energy density of the laser welding beam and on account of the narrow ring-weld seams 18 so formed, a zinc coating 24 supplied from the zinc coats 22 of the adjacent components 11, 12 is created during welding and covers each surface 25 of the ring-weld seams, as a result of which, following welding, the bar segment 10 also is provided with a zinc coating 24 covering the surfaces 25 of the ring-weld seams protecting them against corrosion.

  • Patent number: 5091042
Abstract: In order to rapidly and automatically separate especially worn floor coverings (12) of raised floor panels (10), preferably three separating apparatuses (17) are incorporated with motor powered cutting blades (18) in a device (13) which beneath the separating apparatuses (17) has a carriage (29) with holders (31) for the raised floor panel (10) which is to be treated. The carriage (29) can be moved by motor back and forth transverse to the cutting blades (18) of the separating apparatuses (17) or parallel to the longitudinal axis of the device (13). The separating apparatuses (17) are in turn fixed pivotally around a horizontal axis (19) on a base plate (21). Base plates (21), while being provided with springs and thus shock-absorbing, are in turn fixed on a transverse, portal-like frame part (15) movable to a limited extend in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the device (13).

  • Patent number: 4948943
Abstract: Self-supporting raised floor plates of flat construction, with an outside wrapper consisting of a flat metal shell which is open at the top for a mineral, age-hardenable filler material, for instance anhydrite, are known. However, with such raised floor plates of flat construction, the embedding of an electric heating line in the layer of mineral material so that the heating line is found without interference in the statically neutral zone of the raised floor plate is problematic. The invention overcomes this problem in that the heating line is fastened to holders arranged over the bottom of the shell. These holders are fastened by clamping by means of a plug-like member in selected anchoring openings in the bottom of the shell. The heating line is clipped or respectively snapped into slots in the head segments of the holders.

  • Patent number: 4833845
Abstract: A shallow pan, preferably of tin-coated sheet steel, serves for the production of a self-supporting composite plate, wherein the pan forms the outside wrapper for a filler with high compression resistance, e.g., anhydrite. The pan contains a plurality of punches which provide anchoring with the filler material. To increase the bearing strength of the composite plate, the pan bottom is made up of four intersecting, shallow, bulged-out zones. These zones engage in the middle on a smooth, plate-like elevation and extend each in turn from deep areas along the intersecting symmetry axes of the pan toward the highest areas at each pan corner. The density of the punches in the pan bottom preferably increases from the inside toward the outside.
