Patent number: 5802932Abstract: A cutter which performs the function of either the outer or the inner cutter in a cutting device comprised of outer and inner cutters of an electric shaving apparatus or an electric beard trimmer. The cutter includes in its cutting area configured as a plane sliding surface a plurality of teeth extending from a comb strip with slots therebetween and with cutting edges formed on the tooth edges. Arranged on the cutter are one or several wall portions angled relative to the cutting area. The cutting area of the cutter includes a blade made of hardened sheet steel, with the teeth of the blade being produced by etching. The wall portions of the cutter are formed by welding one or several formed sheet metal sections to the blade. The weldment is effected such that the resulting rise in temperature of the blade is so low that the hardened sheet metal material is neither adversely affected by deformations nor exposed to significant losses in respect of hardness and wear resistance.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 1996Date of Patent: September 8, 1998Assignee: Braun AktiengesellschaftInventors: Michael Vankov, Karlheinz Johne, Dieter Huth, Gunther Seidel, Rudolf Majthan, Lutz Voigtmann

Patent number: 5711880Abstract: A filter for the filtration of extraction beverages includes a disk having a plurality of apertures through which the beverage extracted from the material to be extracted passes form the afflux side to the efflux side. Each aperture is formed by cut edges in the disk and by bending a cut edge away from the surface of the disk to form a roof-shaped dome. The filter is formed by a single punching, bending and embossing operation without scrap slug being produced.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 1996Date of Patent: January 27, 1998Assignee: Braun AktiengesellschaftInventors: Dieter Friedrich, Gunther Seidel, Michael Machlitt, Rolf Eimecke, Dieter Koch, Christof Miltenberger, Robert Wirsing

Patent number: 4906181Abstract: A device for personal use includes a heating means that uses liquified petroleum gas, a gas container for liquified petroelum gas that has a longitudinal axis, and a vaporization element for supplying vaporized liquified petroelum gas from the gas container to the heating means. Non-porous structure in the gas container defines at least one capillary extending essentially transversely to the longitudinal axis of the gas container conveys liquified petroleum gas to the vaporization element.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 1988Date of Patent: March 6, 1990Assignee: Braun AktiengesellschaftInventors: Richard Ebner, Michael Haas, Gerhard Hildebrand, Joachim Manthey, Karl ffinger, Walter Schafer, Gunther Seidel, Horst Urban, Udo Milutzki

Patent number: 4799256Abstract: A circuit arrangement for telecommunication installations, in particular, telephone exchange installations is disclosed in which type information is sent ahead of each communication to be transmitted. In bidirectional communication transmission with different possible communication types, type information announcing the respective communication type is sent ahead. In the receiving equipment the beginning of the arrival of type information is recognized and immediately, that is, almost simultaneously, an assortment of type-specific message corresponding to each of the possible communication types is transmitted in the opposite direction, of which each indicates the readiness or non-readiness for receiving a communication of the respective type.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 1986Date of Patent: January 17, 1989Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Renate Mattis, Gunther Seidel, Heinrich belhack, Russel D. Patent number: 4170060Abstract: A shear-head for a dryshaver has a cupped frame in the interior space of which the cutter blade or blades of the dryshaver become located when the shear-head is connected to the dryshaver housing. An opening of the frame is spanned by an arcuately bowed, flexible apertured shear foil through which beard stubble extends into contact with the cutter blade or blades. Inner surfaces of the frame are provided with recesses in which mounting plates are lodged. These mounting plates have projections that are engageable with edge portions of the shear foil to hold the latter detachably on the frame.Type: GrantFiled: August 17, 1977Date of Patent: October 9, 1979Assignee: Braun AktiengesellschaftInventors: Gunther Seidel, Christian Schmieder
