  • Patent number: 11930381
Abstract: Some aspects of this disclosure include apparatuses and methods for implementing backup link establishment and operation for multi-link wireless communication networks such as a wireless local area network (WLAN). Some aspects relate to an electronic device including a transceiver configured to communicate over a wireless network and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. The processor receives a message including information associated with a backup link from a second electronic device. The processor further receives data associated with data traffic from the second electronic device on a primary link of the wireless network. In response to a quality of the primary link being below a threshold, the processor receives a notification frame from the second electronic device on the backup link and receives additional data associated with the data traffic from the second electronic device on the backup link or on an other link informed by the notification frame.

  • Patent number: 11924898
Abstract: Some embodiments include utilizing a multilink media access control (MAC) address structure to support multilink devices (MLDs) that can operate concurrently in more than one link such as extremely high throughput (EHT) access points (APs) and EHT stations (STA), where the multilink MAC address structure is compatible with legacy devices. An EHT AP can utilize a multilink basic service set (BSS) identification (BSSID) MAC address to communicate with an EHT STA identified by a multilink MAC address. Values of the multilink BSSID and the multilink MAC address of the EHT STA are independent of which of the multiple links are used in the communication. In addition, to utilizing a multilink BSSID, the EHT AP can also support unique link-specific MAC addresses to concurrently support legacy and MLD stations. The EHT STA can also utilize unique link-specific MAC addresses that can be different than the EHT AP's link-specific MAC addresses.

  • Publication number: 20230418433
Abstract: A computing system for pixel-based automated testing of a navigable simulated environment includes one or more processors configured to execute, in a run-time inference phase, an application testing program. The application testing program includes a machine learning model trained to detect errors in the application under test. A screen image of the simulated environment is processed by an object detection module to determine if a key object is present in the screen image. If a key object is present in the screen image, the application testing program executes an object investigation module to generate investigation inputs to investigate the key object. If a key object is not present in the screen image, the application testing program executes an environment exploration module to generate an environment exploration action to be provided to the application under test as simulated user input.

  • Publication number: 20230349849
Abstract: Transient techniques for electrothermal characterization of small (e.g., micro-scale or nano-scale) samples are described. These techniques overcome some of the limitations existing in conventional approaches. These transient techniques involve causing a temperature variation inside a sample, and determining a transient signal response (e.g., a voltage rise or drop) arising in the sample as a result of the temperature variation. In some embodiments, the temperature variation may be caused by allowing amplitude modulated electric current (e.g., stepped current or periodic stepped current) to flow through the sample. Alternatively, or additionally, the temperature variation may be caused by controlling a laser source to irradiate the sample. Thermal characteristics of the sample (e.g., thermal diffusivity, thermal conductivity, specific heat) can be determined based on the transient response. These transient techniques can be executed by a computer system in an automatic fashion, e.g.

  • Patent number: 9096829
Abstract: The subject invention pertains to the development of a novel human mast cell line, USF-MC1. USF-MC1 is a mast cell precursor present in human umbilical cord blood (HUCB) that may be sustained in culture in the absence of exogenous cytokines to serve as a convenient experimental model of human mast cell activation. The SCF-independent human mast cell line USF-MC1 responds to IgE-mediated and IgE-independent stimuli in a way comparable to that of LAD2. USF-MC1 cells are useful for investigation of IgE-mediated activation mechanisms of human mast cells, contributing to the development of effective treatments for allergic disorders and other disorders. The subject invention provides a ready source of human mast cells for research, including pharmacological studies for the screening of various agents, and toxicologic, e.g., for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. The mast cells can also be used as biofactories, for the large-scale production of biomolecules.
