Abstract: A roof vent is provided comprising a base with an opening for air inlet/outlet, wherein the base opening may have raised venting edges. The base is connected to a cover over the base opening including at least one louver for air flow and a front opening. Sloped side walls connect the base and cover. The front edge of the top of the cover has a lip angled down over the front opening. The lip reduces leakage into the vent. A mesh grill or cover can be included in the front opening. A rectangular strip with drainage holes can be included at the bottom of the front opening, to secure the mesh grill in place. The rectangular strip can include drainage holes. Shingles can be placed on the cover so the vent blends in with the roof.
