    Abstract: An approach for providing a privacy mask for video streams. The approach involves, for example, processing one or more images of a video stream to detect at least one object. The approach also determines one or more feature vectors from a plurality of pixels of the one or more images that correspond to the at least one detected object. The approach further involves encoding the one or more feature vectors into at least one mask that obscures the at least one object in the one or more images. The at least one mask is trackable across the one or more images of the video stream based on the one or more feature vectors. The approach further involves causing an addition of the at least one mask to the one or more images of the video stream and providing the video stream with the at least one mask as an output.

The approach involves, for example, using a first object tracking mechanism to detect and associate one or more objects from frame to frame of a video. The approach also involves initiating one or more second object tracking mechanisms to track the one or more objects detected by the first object tracking mechanism from frame to frame of the video in parallel with the first object tracking mechanism. The approach further involves using a tracking output of the one or more second object tracking mechanisms in place of the first object tracking mechanism for a frame of the video based on determining that first object tracking mechanism has missed a detection of the object in the frame of the video.

From the set of reference beams, based on the reference beam with largest magnitude of inner product, the direction of the user equipment is determined. Based on that determined direction, the user equipment is instructed in to pair with another user equipment of the plurality.

The apparatus also includes a second receiver. The second receiver includes a channel estimation unit and a normal receiver processing unit. The channel estimation unit is configured to compute a second channel estimate of channel conditions associated with the communication channel. The normal receiver processing unit is configured to compute weights using the second channel estimation unit. The channel estimation unit is further configured to obtain a delay between the obtaining of the first channel estimate and the computing of the weights, and to compute the second channel estimate using the delay and the first channel estimate.
