  • Patent number: 9821996
Abstract: A beverage dispensing apparatus with a dispenser compartment, a flexible concentrate bag with a first opening through which a beverage concentrate is introduced at a production site and optionally a second opening at the top of the bag. The second opening is used at the dispensing location to introduce a diluent into the bag. A low acid beverage concentrate is contained in the bag. A beverage homogenizing agitator subassembly is situated inside the dispenser compartment. A beverage dispensing subassembly includes a sealed fitting located at the bottom region of the bag and a tube extending therefrom. The beverage dispensing apparatus reduces shipping and maintenance costs due to shipping concentrate rather than a finished beverage while enhancing sanitation.

  • Patent number: 6877635
Abstract: An apparatus and method for producing and dispensing whipped soft drinks, hot chocolate and beverages which does not use mechanical whipping such as rotating blades, but rather accomplishes the whipping of the mixture of syrup and water by a whipper insert 28 that is mounted above the dispensing nozzle 24b of the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6305269
Abstract: An apparatus for producing and dispensing whipped soft drinks, hot chocolate and beverages which does not use mechanical whipping such as rotating blades, but rather accomplishes the whipping of the mixture of syrup and water used to produce the beverage by intermixing within a vented mixing chamber intersecting streams of syrup and water that are directed toward the intersection point under pressure. The apparatus embodies solenoid valves to control the flow of syrup and water into the mixing chamber of the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6059145
Abstract: A post-mix beverage dispenser of the type that dispenses beverage components in predetermined proportions on demand from a dispensing outlet is provided to dispense the actual beverage, and a visible display simulating a transparent display container having the beverage therein and comprising materials resistant to organic growth is arranged with respect to the dispensing outlet to effect the appearance that the display is the source of the dispensed beverage.

  • Patent number: 5575405
Abstract: A beverage dispenser provides a housing supporting a sealed transparent display bowl containing a permanent sterile and stable fluid simulating the color and texture of a beverage to be dispensed. A generally conventional post-mix system supplies pressurized water and beverage concentrate to a cylindrical mixing chamber that is closed at one axial end and has an outlet at the opposite end for dispensing the mixed beverage. The pressurized water and concentrate are directed chordally against each other within the mixing chamber such that they impinge and mix in a spiral flow around the cylindrical periphery of the mixing chamber in the general direction of the water and toward the outlet. The display bowl is mounted on the housing and is partially filled by a hollow spacer having a bottom opening. A refrigerator tower for cooling the water flowing therethrough prior to mixing is supported by the housing and extends upright through the bottom opening into the hollow spacer.
