  • Patent number: 5341628
Abstract: A control device for controlling a cutter table oscillatingly supported on a base unit about an axis of rotation of a harvesting machine, wherein the cutter table is inclinable about the longitudinal axis of a harvester thresher, the inclination being effected by a hydraulically operating cylinder relative to a conveyor channel. The operating cylinder is pivoted at one end to the conveyor channel and, at the other end, to the cutter table. A spring bridges the hydraulically operating cylinder and rests on one end at the operating cylinder and, on the other end, at a piston rod of the operating cylinder and is biased by a bolt nut on a threaded portion of the piston rod so that an imbalance of the cutter table relative to its point of rotation is equalized.

  • Patent number: 5077961
Abstract: The invention relates to a cutter blade for mowers of harvesting machines the cutter bevel of which comprises two zones of different inclination relative to the blade leaf plane wherein between the zone molded to the cutting edge and the zone extending to the upper blade plane a gradation is provided. It relates furtheron to a method for the production of said cutter bevels on cutting blades of mowers which comprise two zones having different blade angles relative to the blade leaf plane wherein in a first embossing process the zone of the cutter bevel extending to the upper blade plane is pressed into the blade blank in parallel to the cutting edge provided and in a subsequent embossing process, the zone extending to the cutting edge is molded on and the embosssing portion extending beyond the lower blade leaf plane is ground away.

  • Patent number: 5077962
Abstract: A mowing finger for finger bar mowers of harvesting machines having first and second opposing finger parts each formed of flat material. The first and second finger parts are fixedly secured to each other to define a gap therebetween for mowing action between them. The mowing finger has a tapered front portion located forward of the blade gap and a rear portion secured to a finger bar. One of the first or second finger parts includes a twisted portion twisted around the longitudinal axis of the mowing finger and fixedly secured to the other end of the finger parts to provide increased rigidity to the mowing finger. At least one vegetation-excluding deformation is formed in the first or the second finger parts in the area of the blade gap and extends into the blade gap to narrow and obstruct the blade gap against the accumulation of plant matter therein.
