  • Patent number: 6145716
Abstract: A generally U-shaped seat frame defines a crossmember and side portions terminating in a pair of ends. A seatback frame provides a second generally U-shaped member having a second crossmember and side portions which terminate in a pair of acutely angled support members. The ends of the seat frame are pivotally secured to the support members of the seatback frame. A fabric seat web is secured to the side portions of the seat frame while a backpack is secured to the seatback frame. The seat frame is pivotable with respect to the seatback frame between an open position forming a chair and a closed position in which the seatback frame and seat frame are locked together on the rear portions of the backpack.

  • Patent number: 6047630
Abstract: A beverage brewing device has an integral server locking mechanism. The beverage server (10) has top and bottom portions, (16) and (18), having first and second lips, (12) and (14), respectively. An opening in a lower server support plate (20) has a first retaining face (22) which contacts the first lip. The server support plate is preferably pivotably mounted about a pivot point (26) and biased to apply an upward force to the first end of the server. An upper server support plate (30) is positioned at the other end of the beverage server. The second support plate pivots about a second pivot point (36) and is biased downwardly, toward the first base plate. Thus, the support plates cooperate in a clamshell-like manner to secure the beverage brewing device therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5257091
Abstract: An optical alignment system for aligning a multiple gap tape head assembly of a tape drive, including a cartridge plate insertable in a tape drive and having a first surface mirror that is parallel to a reference plane for the drive when the plate is inserted in the drive, a microscope objective imaging lens for providing images of the head gaps of the tape head assembly, a video camera and display for providing an operator viewable display of the output of the imaging lens, translation apparatus for moving the imaging lens, and an interferometer cooperating with the first surface mirror for maintaining the imaging lens at a constant distance relative to the first surface mirror as the translation apparatus moves the imaging lens from one head gap to another, such that the imaging lens moves in a plane parallel to the reference plane for the drive.
