  • Publication number: 20240033057
Abstract: A method may include obtaining a first 3D model of an upper jaw of a patient using an intraoral scanner and obtaining a second 3D model of the lower jaw of the patient using the intraoral scanner. The method may also include capturing a series of 2D images of the upper and lower jaws of the patient as the patient is moves the upper jaw and lower jaw in dynamic occlusion and processing the captured series of 2D images to identify features associated with the upper jaw of the patient and the lower jaw of the patient. For each 2D image in the captured series of 2D images, the method may include identifying a relative position of the first 3D model and the second 3D model based on alignment of features in the first 3D model and second 3D model with the features identified in the 2D image to generate a series of relative positions of the first 3D model and the second 3D model.

  • Publication number: 20230301758
Abstract: The invention relates to a computer-implemented method for providing a set of layer-specific molding matrices for reconstructing layer-by-layer one or more teeth of a set of teeth in a patient’s oral cavity. The set of layer-specific molding matrices comprises two or more layer-specific molding matrices. Each of the layer-specific molding matrices is configured for being arranged on the set of teeth and for casting a different layer of the one or more teeth to be reconstructed with a layer-specific reconstruction material inserted into the respective layer-specific molding matrix. The respective layer-specific molding matrix defines a 3D geometric form of the respective layer being casted.

  • Publication number: 20230248488
Abstract: The invention relates to a computer-implemented method for providing a holding splint for holding one or more restoration forms. The holding splint is configured for being arranged in a patient's oral cavity on a set of teeth comprising one or more teeth to be restored. The holding splint comprises one or more holding sections configured to hold the one or more restoration forms in order to shape restoration material applied onto one or more surfaces of the one or more teeth to be restored into a predefined form using the one or more restoration forms.
