  • Publication number: 20200299914
Abstract: A sand bag filling device comprises a trailer having a foldable post with a distribution head at a top of the vertical post. This distribution head is attached to a plurality of filling spouts which extend downwardly and outwardly from the head to positions surrounding the head. A rotatable chute is positioned at the top of the head for receiving sand from a conveyor and for supplying that sand to each in turn of the filling spouts. The post is formed in three portions each pivotally movable relative to the next, with an intermediate post portion pivotally hinged to a top and a bottom post portion at diametrically opposite sides of the post. The filling spouts are attached via readily releasable couplings to funnels communicating the rotatable chute in appropriate position therewith. There may be up to 18 to 24 spouts.

  • Publication number: 20120212033
Abstract: A ridge in a lane of a roadway is ground away by providing a transverse beam carried on the support arms of a transport vehicle across a front of the vehicle, locating the vehicle longitudinally of the lane with the beam extending across the roadway and with the beam located by the vehicle in fixed position parallel to and above the ridge, moving a grinding assembly carried on the beam along the beam for grinding the ridge. The beam carries a gauge for a depth of grinding. The grinding assembly includes a toothed grinder rotatable about an axis transverse to the beam with a width transverse to the beam which is approximately equal to the width of the ridge.

  • Patent number: 7845668
Abstract: A dual trailer has a first trailer with a king pin for a tractor and a rear fifth wheel for the king pin of a second trailer. The rear end of the first trailer and the front end of the second trailer is lifted into an empty transport position so that the first and second trailers are supported solely on the tractor and the rearmost axle of the second trailer. The remaining axles are held raised from the ground by the lifting of the trailers and by an individual lifting hook supporting the axle raised relative to the frame. In the empty transport position, the first and second trailers are maintained as a single integral trailer in a directly aligned position. Each axle includes an air bag so that the hook is engaged when the axle is raised relative to the frame by releasing the air from the bag.

  • Patent number: 5319884
Abstract: The buck frame is in a one-piece construction and is designed to be embedded in a poured concrete wall. The exterior of the buck frame is provided with reinforcing ribs, while its interior surfaces form a centrally-located boss, the side faces of which are provided with lips and grooves to releasably retain a window frame, made of four separate interfitting parts. A resilient polyurethane board is fitted between the lintel part of the window frame and the registering boss of the buck frame to provide for installation and removal of the horizontally-slidable window panes and also of the window frame parts.
