  • Patent number: 5484544
Abstract: A substantially anhydrous lubricating composition containing solid particles of a fluorinated (co)polymer having a maximum size of 1 .mu.m and coated with an ethoxylated nonylphenol having 10-12 ethylene oxide molecules. A preparation method is also provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 20, 1994
Date of Patent: January 16, 1996
Inventors: Guy Dion Biro, Renan de Bona Biro
  • Patent number: 4195692
Abstract: A fire-fighting cannon nozzle assembly comprisees first and second feed conduits which become coaxial in a rotary sleeve assembly and extend through a body assembly and also through a swivel joint assembly for simultaneous projection of two fire-fighting agents. The rotary sleeve assembly provides for rotary movement of the body assembly about a vertical axis and the swivel joint assembly provides for rotary movement of the discharge nozzles about a horizontal axis.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 30, 1978
Date of Patent: April 1, 1980
    Inventor: Guy Dion-Biro
  • Patent number: 4183410
Abstract: A fire-fighting cannon nozzle assembly comprising two discharge conduits arranged coaxially at a first rotary pivotal position for rotating the assembly about a vertical axis, and which each have a second pivot position along their length where they are not coaxial, for pivotal movement of the discharge ends of the discharge conduits about a horizontal axis.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 30, 1978
Date of Patent: January 15, 1980

  • Patent number: 4181469
Abstract: Apparatus for adding emulsifier to a fluid comprising a conduit for flow of fluid, having a nozzle portion or restriction in the conduit, and a tube extending into the region of the restriction, to supply emulsifier into the restriction region. A valve is disposed in the conduit so as to be responsive to the flow of fluid, displacement of the valve member resulting in displacing the tube thereby to render the displacement of the tube dependent on the flow rate of the fluid through the conduit. The conicity and diameter of the nozzle are adapted to the flow rate of the fluid in the conduit.

  • Patent number: 4106566
Abstract: A process for the simultaneous utilization of low expanded foam and medium expanded foam produced by respective generators thereof, for the extinction of fires, from liquefied gas comprising transporting the medium expanded foam by the faster traveling low expanded foam in order to provide a high velocity of flow of the medium expanded foam. The low expanded foam is produced by a plurality of generators disposed beneath a single generator of medium expanded foam and inclined with respect thereto to direct the jets of low expanded foam into the lower part of the jet of medium expanded foam.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 2, 1976
Date of Patent: August 15, 1978

  • Patent number: 4018418
Abstract: A gas flow governor for regulating the inlet of carbonic acid gas under high pressure delivered from a source of gas and the outlet of expanded gas, the governor comprising a piston slidable in a bore of a body and forming a chamber receiving expanded gas. The piston is acted on by springs to tend to reduce the size of the chamber and the piston has a rod with a rivet head shaped end on which is fixed with play a Teflon plunger of a valve member, the plunger having a frustoconical end. The rod with the plunger slides in a bushing having a cap with a coaxial inlet orifice for connecting with the gas source and an output orifice perpendicular to the inlet orifice and forming with the latter a shoulder with a valve seat.

  • Patent number: 3937257
Abstract: Method and apparatus for pressurizing a reservoir comprising directly introducing gas into the reservoir from a first supply source in an amount to instantly pressurize the reservoir and balancing the pressure between a second supply source for service gas and the reservoir via a regulating valve mechanism which controls admission of gas under pressure from the second source into the reservoir when a differential exists between the second pressure source and the pressure prevailing in the reservoir due to its connection with the first pressure source.
