    Abstract: A shopping cart having an anti-sway bracket secured to the rear cross wire of the basket bottom wall for sidewardly confining the central vertical wires of the rear gate when in its closed position for minimizing side sway of the basket. This bracket comprises a single wire element which is shaped like a "W" and is suitably welded to the rear cross wire of the basket bottom wall.
