The stand assembly includes a base and a stand having an upper end rotatably coupled to a monitor body, and a lower end rotatably coupled to the base. The stand assembly also includes torque correcting means for generating a torque which varies non-linearly with rotation of the stand, thus allowing a tilt angle of a monitor body coupled to the stand assembly to be easily adjusted throughout a large range of motion.
