  • Publication number: 20100178084
Abstract: An image forming apparatus and an auto color registration method thereof. The image forming apparatus performs an auto color registration (ACR) operation by excluding or minimizing the influence caused by variation in speed of a drive unit driving a transfer member. The image forming apparatus includes a controller, which prints a test pattern of each color according to a rotation period of the drive unit, and controls an operation for outputting an image in which each color registration error is corrected on the basis of the test pattern, such that a reliability of the ACR operation is increased and a quality of an image output from the image forming apparatus is also increased.

  • Patent number: 7542700
Abstract: An image forming process module is provided having an integrated photoreceptor unit and development unit, and an image forming apparatus having the same. The image forming process module includes a photoreceptor unit having at least one photoreceptor on which an electrostatic latent image is formed. A development unit is installed around the outer surface of the photoreceptor and having a plurality of development assemblies for developing the latent image, thereby forming a visual image. A fixing frame is detachably installed to a main body of an image forming apparatus for fixing the photoreceptor unit and the development unit to be integrated into a single module. The image forming process module has the enhanced assembly and replacement efficiencies because the photoreceptor unit and the development unit are simultaneously installed to and uninstalled from a main body of an image forming apparatus as a single module.

  • Patent number: 7226282
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a charge roller utilizes a foam rubber substance where epichlorohydrin oxide rubber and an acrylonitrile butadiene rubber are mixed at a ratio of 5:95, or utilizing a crosslinking rubber substance consisting of epichlorohydrin oxide rubber and acrylonitrile butadiene rubber having a polar low molecular polymeric characteristic, thus allowing the charge roller to maintain a low volume resistivity of 107 ?cm to 108 ?cm. As a result, the surface of a photosensitive drum can be charged by a minimum charging voltage, to thereby significantly reduce an amount of ozone. A method of manufacturing a charge roller employs peroxide as a cross linking agent for rapidly cross-linking molecular chains between an epichlorohydrin oxide rubber and acrylonitrile butadiene rubber forming a main composition of a foam rubber substance.

  • Patent number: 6942607
Abstract: A charge roller utilizes a foam rubber substance where epichlorohydrin oxide rubber and an acrylonitrile butadiene rubber are mixed at a ratio of 5:95, or utilizing a crosslinking rubber substance made of epichlorohydrin oxide rubber and acrylonitrile butadiene rubber having a polar low molecular polymeric characteristic, thus allowing the charge roller to maintain a low volume resistivity of 107 ? cm to 108 ? cm. As a result, the surface of a photosensitive drum can be charged by a minimum charging voltage, to thereby significantly reduce an amount of ozone. Since a non-crosslinked low molecular polymeric substance existing at a resilient rubber is significantly reduced, the low molecular polymeric substance of the charge roller may not be migrated onto a surface of the photosensitive drum even if the charge roller is in contact with a photosensitive drum for a long time period during a stoppage of operation of an image forming apparatus.
