In this way, an appropriate sidelink DRX configuration can be determined for use, to help improve efficiency of communication between terminals. In addition, when a terminal on a transmitter side and a terminal on a receiver side each determine a sidelink DRX configuration for use according to the method, both the terminal on the transmitter side and the terminal on the receiver side use a same sidelink DRX configuration.
