Publication number: 20240152134Abstract: Example computer-implemented methods, media, and systems for isolating an emergency within process systems of a hydrocarbon processing facility are disclosed. One example method includes receiving a drawing of multiple process systems of a hydrocarbon processing facility. A respective identifier is assigned to each of multiple drawing vectors, where each of the multiple drawing vectors corresponds to a respective component of the multiple process systems. The multiple drawing vectors are coded based on the assigned identifiers. One or more drawing vectors connected to a location of the emergency are determined from the multiple coded drawing vectors. One or more connections between the one or more drawing vectors and the location of the emergency are identified. A first isolation valve for isolation of the emergency is determined from one or more isolation valves corresponding to the one or more connections. The first isolation valve is provided for the isolation of the emergency.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2022Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: Yasser Alshaalan, Omar A. Dubayan, Omar A. Publication number: 20240101172Abstract: System and methods are disclosed to promote safe shoving movements of a train based on train position localization without human-based track operations monitoring. Train position detectors deployed at the end of a track, in parallel to the track, between the rails of the track, or a combination thereof, localize an end-of-train during shoving movements. Each train position detector transmits an early warning alert to an onboard alert device and a handheld alert device for indicating the end of the train is about to enter a pre-configured prohibited zone. The locomotive operator receives the alert on the onboard alert device while workers in the railyard receive the alert on the handheld alert devices. Both onboard and handheld alert devices are capable of generating audio, visual, haptic, or a combination of these warning alerts for the locomotive operator and the workers in the railyard.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Muhammad Mohsin Naseer, Mukhtiar Ahmad, Haider Ali, Brent Fransen, Joseph Montgomery, Kevin Pilger, Randy Skarlupka, Kevin Smith, Richard Spitzer

Patent number: 11780760Abstract: Systems and methods for automated, sequential processing of a continuous glass ribbon by conveying the glass ribbon in a ribbon travel direction, forming a score line in the glass ribbon, separating a glass sheet from the glass ribbon at the score line while supporting the glass sheet with a transfer device, lowering the glass sheet onto a conveyor, and conveying the glass sheet in a sheet travel direction differing from the ribbon travel direction. By transferring and then conveying the glass sheet in a direction differing from the ribbon travel direction (e.g., a 90 degree turn) immediately after glass sheet separation, the systems and method of the present disclosure are conducive to streamlined production of glass sheets utilizing a unique production floor footprint.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2018Date of Patent: October 10, 2023Assignee: Corning IncorporatedInventors: Muhammad Haider Ali Basit, Steven Marshall Eversole, Nils Paul Fornell, Allan Mark Fredholm, Misha Andre Gerschel, James Tollef Gramstad, Ching-Han Ho, Craig Marshall Phenes, Stephane Poissy

Patent number: 11588376Abstract: An adaptor is disclosed for connecting a rotating electrical machine 12 to a prime mover 10. The adaptor comprises at least one air outlet. The adaptor is arranged to provide an increase in a cross-sectional area of air flow towards the outlet. In this way part of the dynamic pressure can be converted into additional static pressure rise through steady expansion of the air flow cross-section. This in turn may help to improve the overall amount of cooling air passing through the machine for a given fan input power.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 2021Date of Patent: February 21, 2023Assignee: Cummins Generator Technologies LimitedInventors: Himanshu Agrawal, Abhishek Kakade, Mark Jason Riley, Robert Mitchell Rolston, Haider Ali Abbas

Publication number: 20230045300Abstract: The train detection system comprises a wireless communication network further comprising train detection modules attached to catenary poles at the entrance and exit of the railyard. Each train detection module is equipped with a plurality of diverse sensors configured to detect trains and other on-track vehicles. The diverse sensors are simultaneously active and work together for detecting an approaching or leaving train. The train detection modules generate train alerts which are transmitted wirelessly over the wireless communication network. Each of the railyard workers wears a personal alert device capable of wirelessly connecting with the train detection modules and receiving the train alerts over the said wireless communication network. The train alert modules are capable of transmitting alerts wirelessly to personal alert devices and other train alert modules. Train alert modules are capable of generating audio visual warnings for any personnel which may not be equipped with personal alert module.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 5, 2022Publication date: February 9, 2023Inventors: Matthew Edmonds, Kevin Smith, Adam Woyczik, Muhammad Mohsin Naseer, Mukhtiar Ahmad, Haider Ali

Publication number: 20190390972Abstract: A network system receives geographic information from a device. The geographic information is representative of a candidate GPS route used by a vehicle to complete a trip. The candidate GPS route is more efficient that a map route determined based on ground truth map data. The network system identifies an ordered sequence of one or more known road segments in the ground truth map data that the transportation vehicle uses to complete a trip represented by the candidate GPS route. To determine the ordered sequence of road segments, the network system may relax constraints on attributes of the map data to identify the ordered sequence of road segments.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 24, 2019Publication date: December 26, 2019Inventors: Jialin Jiao, Berk Gurakan, Vikram Saxena, Haider Ali Razvi
