  • Patent number: 11627363
Abstract: The example system and method enable a user to post comments to appear as textual content in a streaming graphical content presentation. The textual content and the graphical content may be provided to the user's set top box for presentation on an associated display device and may be provided to another user's set top box for presentation on the other user's display device. Each of the users utilize a wireless remote control enabled to accept text and/or voice inputs of a comment for inclusion in the streaming graphical content. The set top box generates a comment based on the inputted text and/or voice received from the remote control. The set top box provides the generated comment to a media server which distributes textual content based on the generated comment to other set top boxes for presentation with the streaming graphical content.

  • Patent number: 10972801
Abstract: An electronic apparatus including a control circuit that controls access to content and determines an operation mode of the electronic apparatus, and a monitoring circuit that monitors the access to the content, acquires content access information, and generates a table. The control circuit causes each of the content access information acquired by the monitoring circuit and the table generated by the monitoring circuit to be stored in a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium of the electronic apparatus. The monitoring circuit can update the content access parameters as additional content access information is acquired, and when the control circuit determines that the electronic apparatus is in an active mode, the control circuit can refer to the table and select, when access parameters of the active mode match the updated content access parameters, a current content to be output from the electronic apparatus.
