Patent number: 8148671Abstract: A proximity-type imaging device includes an image sensor and an angle limiting filter. The image sensor performs photoelectric conversion for light transmitted from a subject using plural pixels, so as to capture the subject. The angle limiting filter includes a transparent glass substrate and a light shielding film which is formed with openings having one-to-one correspondence with the pixels and which is provided on the glass substrate. The angle limiting filter is disposed on the image sensor and limits an incidence angle of light incident to the image sensor to such an angle range that the light is incident from each opening to the corresponding pixel. The condition L ? T 1 ( n 1 2 - 1 ) 1 / 2 is satisfied, where n1 denotes a refractive index of the substrate, T1 denotes a thickness of the substrate, and L denotes a shortest distance between a contour of one opening and a contour of the pixel corresponding to an opening adjacent.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2010Date of Patent: April 3, 2012Assignee: Fujifilm CorporationInventor: Hajime Kurahashi

Patent number: 7715301Abstract: An optical element having an optical multi-layer coating which can function as a phase plate without using quartz crystal or an optical film. The optical multi-layer coating is deposited on a plane which is set up on the optical element by way of a perpendicularly intersecting plane located on perpendicularly intersecting X- and Y-axes in perpendicularly intersecting relation with optical axis of an incident light beam on the optical multi-layer coating, the perpendicularly intersecting plane being inclined through a predetermined angle about the X- and/or Y-axis to establish a phase differential between two linearly polarized components of the incident light beam.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2006Date of Patent: May 11, 2010Assignee: Fujinon CorporationInventors: Homin Ryu, Hajime Kurahashi, Takahiko Matsuba, Yoshiji Kawamura

Publication number: 20070229955Abstract: A diffraction device having, on a transparent substrate plate, a diffraction pattern composed of periodically alternating array of first and second phase control zones. Each one of the first and second phase control zones is provided with an infinitesimal ruled structure in a pitch of the order of sub-wavelength, i.e., in a pitch smaller than the shortest wavelength of incident light, thereby to control phase shifts to the same angle in a plural number of wave ranges. The infinitesimal ruled structure in the first and second phase control zones are disposed in perpendicularly intersecting relation with each other. Thus, the diffraction device can diffract incident light with a diffraction efficiency free from dependency on wavelength and give a performance not dependent on the direction of polarization of incident light.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 29, 2007Publication date: October 4, 2007Applicant: FUJINON SANO CORPORATIONInventors: Yoshiji Kawamura, Hajime Kurahashi
