  • Patent number: 5245430
Abstract: A timebase corrector is provided, in which an input video signal is written in a timebase error correcting memory on the basis of a clock pulse synchronized with a synchronizing signal in the input video signal and the signal written in the time base error correcting memory is read out on the basis of a read clock pulse synchronized with a reference signal to thereby correct a timebase error. In this timebase corrector, when a drop-out of a first vertical synchronizing signal in the input video signal occurs, the write of the input video signal in the timebase error correcting memory is inhibited, and a timebase error is corrected by the input video signal already written in the memory until a second vertical synchronizing signal is detected.

  • Patent number: 5208677
Abstract: A video signal reproducing apparatus plays back at a high speed a recorded signal recorded on a recording medium, eliminating noise bars in the reproduced image by replacing a noise portion, that is, a signal portion reproduced by a magnetic head having a different azimuth from the azimuth of a track on the recording medium, with a corresponding signal portion of a previously reproduced track having the same azimuth as the magnetic head. The recorded signal is a shuffled video signal having mutually adjacent lines of one field recorded on different tracks of the recording medium in a predetermined sequence. Then the apparatus deshuffles the reproduced signal devoid of noise bars to obtain a deshuffled video signal.

  • Patent number: 5191432
Abstract: A color video signal recording and reproducing method for recording and reproducing a color line sequential TCI signal which prevents, upon different speed reproduction, a possible displacement in hue of a reproduction color video signal. First and second time base compressed chroma signals for one horizontal period are combined with a time base elongated brightness signal for one horizontal period, and type code signals representative of types of the chroma components are added to form encoded color video signals for two tracks. The encoded color video signals are shuffled and recorded simultaneously onto a magnetic tape by two heads.

  • Patent number: 5099312
Abstract: A timebase corrector for a video signal is comprised of a reference clock signal generating means for generating, on the basis of a first synchronizing signal separated from a reference signal, a reference clock signal which is input to a first analog-to-digital converter for converting an analog input reference signal to a digital signal, a second clock signal generating means for generating a second clock signal which goes high level during a horizontal blanking period on the basis of a first clock signal whose frequency, multiplied by a desired integer, becomes a frequency of the reference clock signal, a line memory which can store an output signal of a second analog-to-digital converter which converts a correction analog signal to be corrected to a digital signal and a third clock signal generating means for generating a third clock signal by delaying the first clock signal in a timebase direction in which three-value reference phase sampling error, which results from sampling an output of the second ana
