  • Patent number: 8635876
Abstract: Disclosed is a gas turbine for a thermal power plant, especially a gas turbine, comprising a rotatable rotor and a duct which can be penetrated by a gas and in which turbine blades for driving the rotor are disposed. The inventive gas turbine is characterized by a blocking device which at least partially prevents the gas from penetrating the duct in a closed position.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 28, 2007
Date of Patent: January 28, 2014
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Hajrudin Ceric, Stefan Dahlke, Uwe Gruschka, Matthias Heue, Martin Lenze, Thomas Matern, Dieter Minninger, Axel Schaberg, Stephan Schmidt, Steffen Skreba, Bernd Stöcker, Volker Vosberg, Roger Waldinger
  • Patent number: 7752847
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for cooling a gas turbine comprising a rotor, said method being carried out after the operation of the gas turbine and whereby the rotor is driven at least intermittently during a cooling phase at a reduced nominal speed. To provide a gas turbine with a reduced down time, a liquid is introduced at least intermittently into the air stream upstream of the compressor during the cooling phase.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 12, 2005
Date of Patent: July 13, 2010
    Assignee: Siemens Akteingesellschaft
Inventors: Hajrudin Ceric, Giuseppe Gaio, Frank Günther, Armin Hülfenhaus, Gerhard Hülsemann, Gabriel Jungnickel-Marques, Stefan Wanz

  • Publication number: 20070025839
Abstract: The invention relates to a bearing for axially mounting a rotor of a gas turbine. Said bearing comprises a bearing body that is disposed stationary relative to the position of the rotor, a hydraulic piston arrangement which is accommodated by the bearing body, and a hydraulic system that is fluidically connected to the hydraulic piston- arrangement. In order to create a bearing which also absorbs bearing forces that occur due to high dynamic thrusts of the rotor while ensuring secure mounting of the rotor, a diaphragm is mounted between the hydraulic piston arrangement and the hydraulic system.
