  • Publication number: 20130260129
Abstract: In a stretch yarn (1) comprising a stretchable core (2) covered by an inelastic fibers sheath (3) the stretchable core (2) comprises first and second fibers (4, 5) that have elastic properties, the first fiber (4) is an elastomer and the second fiber (5) is a polyester based (co)polymer, the amount of the second fiber being in the range of 60-90% (w/w) of the total weight of the fibers of the stretchable core (2); the first and second fibers are connected together at least at a plurality of points (P).

  • Patent number: 8523957
Abstract: A process for using reduced vat dyes in a continuous dyeing process for production of dyed yarns and fabrics of different colors. In the process, dye composition is introduced to a treatment unit for reduction to desired dye composition. The dye concentration in the treatment unit is lower than feeding dye concentration so that dye precipitation does not occur, but significantly higher than the circulating dye concentration so that the dye is reduced efficiently. Although the preferred location for the treatment unit is before the circulation line, it may be at any location before the dip-dye tank.

  • Publication number: 20130048140
Abstract: A fabric with wefts that include hard yarns and elastomeric yarns in a predetermined arrangement such that at least one hard yarn is alternately arranged with at least one elastomeric yarn, the elastomeric yarns having a greater shrinkage ratio than that of the hard yarns; the hard yarns form under portions and over portions with respect to warps, said under portions being formed when said hard yarns pass along the back side of the warps and defining loop portions, and said over portions being formed when the hard yarns pass along the front side of the warps and define connection portions, wherein for each hard yarn, the number of warps passed by the loop portion is at least 6, and the elastomeric yarns form under portions and over portions with respect to said warps in a weave that is tighter than the weave of the hard yarns.
