  • Patent number: 6333635
Abstract: A probe card for use in testing at least two Quad Pad IC chips at the same time, includes a printed circuit board having an aperture extending therethrough, a plurality of pins for probing contact pads formed on the chips and electrically connected to the circuitry of the printed circuit board, a fixing ring extending around the aperture and positioning the pins relative to the test chips, and a fixing bridge traversing the fixing ring and disposed over a region between two of the test chip locations. Those pins which are for contacting the contact pads closest to the fixing ring protrude from and are supported by the sides of the fixing ring. On the other hand, the contact pads which will lie rather far from the sides of the fixing ring are probed by pins protruding from and supported by the fixing bridge.

  • Patent number: 6135948
Abstract: A convertible laryngoscope includes a deployable integral mirror to allow the doctor to clearly view the larynx and more easily insert an endotracheal tube. In many patients, due to injury, deformation, or an existing medical condition, the introduction of the endotracheal tube can be a prolonged and difficult affair, the doctor being forced to work blind when they cannot gain an unobstructed view of the larynx and the path that the cannula or tube needs to travel during intubation. The present invention addresses this problem by providing the above mentioned mirror, which is disposed in a first position proximate the laryngoscope blade during the initial introduction of the blade into the patient's mouth. Once the base of the tongue is reached and depressed, the user may deploy the mirror into a second position extending towards the soft palate that allows a reflected view towards the larynx and epiglottis.

  • Patent number: 5957134
Abstract: This invention relates to a new and improved anesthesia delivery system utilized in medical procedures wherein there is minimized build up of carbon dioxide levels in a patient due to a patient re-breathing their own exhaled gases. The anesthesia delivery system comprises a first tubular element hermetically coupled to a source of gas which is inhaled by a patient, and a second tubular element hermetically coupled to a system for expelling gas exhaled from a patient's lungs such that when a patient is intubated with the delivery system, the end of the first tubular element is positioned adjacent the patient's pharynx while the end of the second tubular element is positioned within the patient's trachea.
