Abstract: Batteries with high energy and high capacity are described that have a long cycle life upon cycling at a moderate discharge rate. Specifically, the batteries may have a room temperature fifth cycle discharge specific energy of at least about 175 Wh/kg discharged at a C/3 discharge rate from 4.2V to 2.5V. Additionally, the batteries can maintain at least about 70% discharge capacity at 1000 cycles relative to the fifth cycle, with the battery being discharged from 4.2V to 2.5V at a C/2 rate from the fifth cycle through the 1000th cycle. In some embodiment, the positive electrode of the battery comprises a lithium intercalation composition with optional metal fluoride coating. Stabilizing additive maybe added to the electrolyte of the battery to further improve the battery performance. The batteries are particularly suitable for use in electric vehicles.

In use, for example, a processing device identifies one of a plurality of paths as an optimal path based on a plurality of round trip time (RTT) values, where the RTT values include an optimal path round trip time (RTT) value of the optimal path and at least one non-optimal path RTT value of at least one non-optimal path. A threshold data amount is determined in connection with the at least one non-optimal path, based on the optimal path RTT value of the optimal path and the at least one non-optimal path RTT value of the at least one non-optimal path. Further, an application data amount is estimated by the processing device in connection with messages of at least one application. Such application data amount and threshold data amount are compared by the processing device.

Abstract: In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, a tonneau cover for covering a pickup truck's cargo bed may include a first panel and a second panel. Each of the first panel and the second panel may include on its one edge a corresponding hinge channel and a corresponding bulged sidewall. The tonneau cover may further include a hinge assembly for connecting the first panel with the second panel. The hinge assembly may include two hinge rails and a hinge trunk. The two hinge rails may be inserted into the corresponding hinge channels of the first panel and the second panel. And when the first panel and the second panel are in a closed position, the corresponding bulged sidewalls of the first panel and the second panel may be pressed against the hinge trunk to create a seal.

Abstract: A distributed data store-equipped evolved packet core (EPC) apparatus and method are provided. Included is a distributed data store configured to store user equipment (UE) information received from a mobility management entity (MME), and gateway information received from a plurality of gateway user plane services and computing resources (e.g. gateways, etc.). Gateway controllers are in communication with the distributed data store. Such gateway controllers receive a message from the MME associated with a service request for a UE. Further, in response to the message, the distributed data store is queried for at least a portion of the UE information associated with the UE, and at least a portion of the gateway information. Further, at least one gateway is identified using the gateway user plane services, based on the at least portion of the UE information and the at least portion of the gateway information, for use in servicing the service request for the UE.

Methods of suppressing [Ca2+]i levels in individuals are also provided. The subject invention also provides methods of stimulating lipolysis, inhibiting lipogenesis, and increasing the expression of white adipose tissue uncoupling protein 2 (UPC2). The subject invention also provides methods of increasing the core temperature of an individual.
